COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

NosirIwont (2588) - Husum, DENMARK - APR 21, 2017
Bottle. 8.2%. Best before 12.09.18. Pours a dark brown, bordering black, with a disappearing tan head. No lacing. Citrusy hop aroma with a candy-like or maybe juicy touch. Dark fruits in the background, which increase as it warms, while developing roasted and liquorice notes as well. Further warming brings out a light alcohol note. Flavour is a bit spicy, with (roasted) malt, dark fruits, light liquorice, citrus hops. Hint of cheesy hops as it warms, as well as a light bread note and fledgling hints of chocolate. Dark fruit finish with liquorice. Hint of an alcohol burn. Lingering hop note accompanied by a light dryness. A wee bit too much carbonation. Overall good. The relatively outspoken (for the style) citrus hops is a surprise, and a bit peculiar, but it works okay. Also, it straddles the border between an imperial stout and a doppelbock. 21.04.17.

Bottle 70 cl. Pours a clear burgundy with a light brown head. Rather complex aroma with licorice coming through, but also a woody character. Medium body, some roasty bitterness, burned caramel and spicy, flowery hops. A very complex beer and as usual one of Vestfyens best beers of the year. 060117
