(1L bottle from brauhaus) Cloudy amber body with a thick off white head. Much much more yeasty than any other dunkelweizen I’ve ever had. The yeast flavor kind of reminds me of a belgian beer so this weizen is different. Smell is big yeast with some banana and clove. Taste is the same with good wheat notes. Enjoyable but not typical in my opinion.

Frisch vom Hahn im Brauhaus getrunken. Sehr trübes Dunkelamber. Hat lt. Auspreisung 4,8%. Schmeckt fruchtig-wurstig. Kaum Hefenoten.

On tap at the brewpub. Trübes orange braunes Bier mit mittelgroßen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Gewürznelken und Hefe. Geschmack nach reifen Bananen, Gewürznelken, karamellig.

Colore ambra, schiuma abbastanza persistente. Aroma fine fruttato. Al palato emerge la banana ma molto meno rispetto ad altre dello stesso stile. Solo discreta.

Draught at the Vetter, Heidelberg, Germany. Hazy mid-brown color with a small off-white head. Yeast, wheat, dryness and grainy notes in the aroma. The flavor is dry malt, wheat, yeast and some papery notes. Nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hefetrübes dunkles Bernstein mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Malzig, Röstaromen, leicht hopfig fruchtig, spritzig.

Pours two fingers of head on a cloudy dark straw body. The aroma is barnyard and nutty. The taste is balanced mild bitterness with a tame sweet note. The texture is smooth. That is a nicely balanced dunkel.

300ml fresh vom fass, 4.8 % abv, at the brewpub. Muddy brown coloured body. Low, but stable, fawn-coloured head. Smell of sweet wheat and leafy hops. Flavoued with dark wheat, banana and caramel. Rather lingering mid-sweet ending. Has got moments of joyful beer drinking (Heidelberg 25.07.2014).

Big thanks to Nick and Clancy for bring this back! Pours a cloudy brown with an amber hue and a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice combination of sweet wheat, clove and a bit of dark grain to balance out the sweetness. Flavor has more of a dark bread note with some sweet wheat, banana and clove backing.
