Vielen Dank an Koelschtrinker! Leicht trübe orangegoldene Farbe, ordentliche leicht beige Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht fruchtig hopfig, getreidig malzig. Geschmack leicht nussig malzig, dezent hopfig bitter, geringe Süße. Koelschtrinker (20398) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - APR 10, 2015
Etwas wässriger Antrunk von leichtem Getreide und einem Hauch Malz. Geringe Herbe, das Bier bleibt sehr mild. Nussige Nuancen. 9/7/8/7//7

Draught at the brewery.
Aroma: yeast, not clean, a bit buttery (signature of the brewery?)
Taste: sweet and watery. A little bit of butter (diacetyl).

Small off white head. Mostly clear, amber. Aroma is red fruit jam, honey. Spicy flavor, like one gets from rye. Full body. andyhwcinc (1884) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 22, 2013
Enjoyed on a gorgeous early fall day in the lovely city of Heidelberg...at Vetters of course. Appearance is a cloudy amber gold with a thin white head. Aroma is light malt, not too syrupy like other marzen brews I have had. Taste goes down with more of a malty finish, but retains more of light lager qualities. This one is just decent and there are better brews at this place for sure. fiulijn (20492) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 21, 2011
Draught at the brauhausmcdav2154 (449) - GERMANY - OCT 19, 2009
Hazy red-amber color; creamy head. Very nice aroma, malt, cookies, some honey and some hop. Sweetish caramel flavor, notes of chestnut honey; the final is less sweet and complete, a bit candyish; medium-low bitterness. Well brewed, pleasant.
(Had it @ Vetter Brauhaus) Hazy orange amber body with a small off white head. Smell was some malts and butterscotch but very faint. Taste was a bit off for a marzen. The malty sweet flavor didn’t jump out at you but maybe that’s because I had some food with it. I will re-rate this sometime to get a better feel for this one. jonas (7572) - Garching b. Tap. Cloudy orange, lacing offwhite head. Light perfumed hop notes. Medium to light body. Fruity base, grassy light citric hop counter. Süffig could use a bit more chewyness though.
