Bottle, from trade with papsoe. A ruby to dark brown beer, clear, with a beige head. Burnt, coffee aroma with some bonfire and dark chocolate. The flavor is also mostly burnt malt and coffee, but there’s also some salty licorice and a touch of dark, bitter chocolate. Burnt, coffeeish finish too. A bit thin on the palate, and quite dry. Sure on of the best Viborg beers. (080412) rickgordon (3874) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 26, 2008

Dark red-brown colour with frothy head. Freshly baked malts, along with toast in aroma. Light toasty flavour, yet light on it’s feet. charlotte (5355) - rødovre, DENMARK - MAY 22, 2008

Black of color with a nice off white head. An aroma of roasted notes, prunes and sweet hints. A flavor of malt, roasted notes, dusty and weak sour notes. Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 17, 2008
Tasting at my place. Courtesy of Yngwie & Gunnfryd. Black/brown with a red hue and a nice, creamy head. The aroma is rather light with notes of coffee and roasted malt. The flavour has sweetness, a light, dry bitterness, notes of coffee, licorice, roasted malt, caramel and light chocolate. It’s uncomplicated and quite charming. Bottle. Black colour with a little head. Light aroma of vanilla, roastedness and sweetness. Flavour of roastedness, chocolate and hints of coffee. Ends up quite dry. ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 16, 2007
Black colour with a light brown head. Malty, light roasted aroma with a vague chocolate sweet note. Roasted malty flavor with a chocolate sweet note and hints of liqourice. Light dry and vague sweet finish. yespr (44810) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - OCT 4, 2007
50 cL bottle, thanks to Myrup. Pours black to very deep brown and a lacing brown head. Overly roasted malty aroma though still an inviting aroma. Flavour has dominantly liqourice and roasted malt. Lacks some chocolate smoothness to really impress me. Slight burning finish. Decent brew.
