Bottle @<a href=http://ratebeer.com/forums/thisted-kalder target=_new> Thisted Tasting by Maria.. Medium to dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, light coffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, and a dry finish. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (120408)

50 cL bottle, thanks to Myrup. Pours black to very deep brown and a lacing brown head. Overly roasted malty aroma though still an inviting aroma. Flavour has dominantly liqourice and roasted malt. Lacks some chocolate smoothness to really impress me. Slight burning finish. Decent brew.

Ungstrup (38384) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 30, 2007
Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt, and a slight acididy - I guess from the roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt, which also lends it a slight acidity, but it also has a slight vegetable note.

joergen (29216) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 3, 2007
Bottle. Dark brown coloured with a beige ehad. Roasted aroma of coffee with notes of chocolate. Roasted flavour of coffee with notes of chocolate and hops. Dry hoppy finish.

oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 31, 2013
Bottled (backlog, bought Jylland during my car trip to Denmark). Deep brown to black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is ashes, some toasted malts, mild ripe fruits and some slight herbal notes. Flavour is toasted malts, ashes, some ripe fruits and a bit dry wooden notes too. Simplistic.

omhper (25740) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 13, 2007
Bottled. Really black, beige head. Evident coffeea roma. Medium sweet with fairly soft mouthfeel and solid body. Very roasty with notes of soil and tobacco. Salty finish with lingering bitterness. Mildly flavourful and very pleasant. After having tasted three other beers from Viborg I’m almost shocked how good this is!

Papsoe (25056) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 2, 2007
(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Myrup. Clear, dark brown with a warm tint of red and a small, light brown head. Fat aroma of burned malt. Medium body and fairly sweet, burned malt - some vanilla also. Slightly vinous with light notes of licorice. Subdued bitterness in the finish. A nice one. 280907

Black color, small compact head. Aroma of roasted malt, ashes, some cardboard. Smooth mouthfeel, roasted malt and caramel flavor, light residual sweetness, some chocolate. Crossover between Porter and Schwarz. Dry finish.

saxo (19522) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - SEP 23, 2007
Draught at Bryggerdage i den gamle by. Medium head with medium duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are licorice, chocolate and roast malt.

harrisoni (19318) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 1, 2008
Bottle at Chris_o birthday bash 08. Very deep ruby/brown. Minty, but has elements of a porter. Bit meaty, some choc porter and mint. Odd.
