UPDATED: OCT 30, 2017 Fin øl med smag af humle og den klassiske belgiske gær-ølsmag. God nydeøl til en stille aften..

Bottle, 8.0%. Malty aroma. Clear dark brown colour. No head. The flavour is malty and sweet. Good bitterness. Well-balanced.

Foam is nice off-white and durable. Prunes, dark rye bread and dried fruits characterize the aroma. The taste is quite briefly malty with caramel and the aforementioned dried fruits, but rather quickly enter a citrus tart hoppy bitterness out and destroy some of the expectations I had for the beer-type dubbel. Next sip perceives the beer as better fullness in the form of brown sugar, roasted malt, caramel and spices. But it soon takes over the dominant hops again, and it had simply been a tasty gentle hops had certainly looked better together. The hops in this dubbel taste more bitter sour and bitter, so the overall impression is for me a beer that not taste very good. It is inconsistent and boring.

Bottle @ home... It pours dark brown with a large light tan head.... flowerish, hoppy, yeast, nuts, roasty.....

Bottle. 8.0%. Best before 02.12.15. Pours a clear, deep golden amber with a light tan head. Good lacing. Fruity and a bit flowery aroma. Dark fruit and plum notes as it warms. Light alcohol note in the background. A bit cloying. Flavour is sweetish with a dark fruit note bordering grainy. Hint of banana as it warms. A wee bit fat. Dark fruit and grainy finish with an alcohol burn lingering. Overall okay, but nothing special. 17.08.14.

0.5 l bottle, thanks hanniku! Reddish brown color. Sweet honeyish, worty and raisiny aroma with prunes. Sweet, worty and tart taste with toffee, sour cherries, strawberry and prunes. Heavy body with filling moussy carbonation. Interesting aroma but low drinkability.

Flott mahogny farge med et lysebrunt skum, skummet la seg som et lokk. Aroma av malt, gjær, banan og mørk frukt. Smaken følger aroma med innslag av lomme og krydder. Lett bitterhet i avsluttningen.

Not a fan.. It is quite beautiful in the glas, and the smell is okay. Alcohol taste is to dominant, although the Candi sugar plays well with the other malts. It’s just not my type of beer, and compared to other dubbels, it’s quite inferior

Stefano (2069) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 20, 2014
Brownish coloured beer with a medium creamy head. Aroma is malty caramel. Taste is lots of caramel, nuts and some roasty finish. Medium to heavy palate.

vonpolski (32) - Borup, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2014
UPDATED: APR 4, 2014 Belgian Dubbel beer type. Darkbrown with a fine lightbrown head. Aroma with a note of Bread. The yeast however is overwellming, which make the beer a bit to bitter. The sweetness of the beer is strugling with the alcohol, which ruin the balance.
