Hazy dark amber color with big foamy head. Caramel, malt and dark fruits. Light fruity sweetness. Quite balanced, but flavor is too light. Needs some stronger flavor. This feels like watching something far away. You can see it, but you can't really be sure what it is. nathanvc (896) - Brugge, BELGIUM - AUG 28, 2017
At Brugs Beertje, Bruges. Pours hazy dark brown with a lasting, foamy, tan head. The aroma contains caramel, roasted malt, bread & yeast, dark chocolate, dark fruits, alcohol, hops and herbs. It tastes medium chocolatey and caramel-like sweet and medium herbal bitter with a dry, warming, alcoholic finish. Full body, oily/sticky texture, fizzy carbonation. A great Abbey Dubbel; well done by Dilewyns. Piepenhenrich (1318) - Steinbach, GERMANY - AUG 27, 2017
Good Belgian Dubbel, dark, complex, rich in taste, among the better if its kind.
