Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderatre malty and hoppy slightly soapy aroma. Light sweet and moderate bitter flavor. No licorice notes. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate. Nice but not my favorite tripel.

skoisirius (1909) - Earth, Washington, USA - MAY 13, 2012
Draft somewhere in SE Portland, Belgian Beer Bar of some sort. Straightforward triple from de Proef. Frothy white head, nicely spiced nose and taste, hints of apple beneath. Satisfying finish makes a solid simple tripel.

PorterPounder (7685) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 5, 2012
Tallahassee, FL - New Leaf Market - 750 ml cage corked bottle. Light golden pour, thick white head - leaves a nice heavy coat of lacing. Light, but fresh fragrant aroma, some floral hints, some fresh fruit - nectarines come to mind. Pleasant smooth flavor - nothing jumps out initially. Some light dates, hints of pear-like fruitiness, bits of honey - just all around smooth and easy drinking. Good level of spritziness. Very decent.

Huubs (142) - NETHERLANDS - APR 29, 2012
Geel, licht troebel met een witte kop. Geur komt er niet echt uit. Het eerste dat je tegenkomt is koolzuur, vervolgens hop en op het eind wat frisse citrus tinten en zoetig met een waterige afdronk. Aldus Huubs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

BlackHaddock (6795) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2012
Brown 33cl dumpy bottle, best before 19 May 2011, poured into a Westmalle chalice on the afternoon of 18 Nov 2010. No sediment left the glass, so it looked as the brewer intended: a slightly hazey dull golden beer with a thin white covering for a head. The aroma was of freshly baked biscuits, Scottish Shortbread actually, made with butter! The taste was devine, sharp, crisp and flavoursome. Yeast overtones, biscuity (like the shortbread aromas) and semi-sour all at the same time. The alcohol lingering in the background giving the whole experience an extra edge. I really, really liked this beer. Not too sure how many different Belgian tripels Ive had, certainly more than 20 anyway, but this is right up there with the best. Ill be buying this again.

maupie (954) - Roosendaal, NETHERLANDS - JAN 22, 2012
After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity wall adhesive white foam collar which was fine and even of structure. The beer also contained much carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a thick blond and a sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppy bitter with a fruity touch . This beer smells fruit.
