Bottle. I’m drinking it alone. Poured some color, I can’t see, it’s dark, but the beer overflowed the glass. Big head, I guess. Smells like cinnamon, vanilla, sugar cookies, gingerbread, and booze. Taste is raisins, bread, sweet fruits, and booze. Pretty chill drink. Ehhhhhhhh, chill chill chill. It’s eh, chill. I like this chill Beer. Fucking chill. Oh, yeah man. This is a chill beer. 33cl bottle. Dark brown with huge tanned head.
NOSE : Red fruits, dried fruits, cooked fruits, sweet cheese, tart, alcohol, burned caramel.
SIP : medium to thick body with oily texture. Strong carbonation. Sweet tart with burned caramel start. The sweet flavor of malts gets mixed with booze and reveals more burned flavors. It meets with yeast and hops later on revealing more fruity and cheesy background. Some sour notes in the meantime. Finish is dried raisins and booze like. Aftertaste is earthy and bitter burned and bitter apple seed like.
OVERALL : one of the top in it’s style. Well round and rich taste. A great example for a winter beer. reebtogi (6235) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 12, 2013
330ml bottle pours dark brown in color with a 2 finger light beige head that retains well leaving some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is spicy with some licorice and a hint of chocolate. Taste is a chocolate malty and raisin sweetness with some licorice and other spices. Flavours are well balanced in this medium bodied brew which has adequate carbonation. Well done and very drinkable despite its high ABV.

Pour is a dark brown with a huge tan head. Aroma is brown sugar, rich dark malts and a little spice. Maybe even a little vinous. Flavor is chocolate to start then comes a bit of raison and dark candi sugar. Finish is chewy and spices. A decent slightly spiced winter warmer. Reminded me of Anderson Valley winter but with a higher ABV.. PriorL (3068) - Gent, BELGIUM - DEC 10, 2013

33 cl. bottle @ De Stroopop in Zoersel. 2012 Vintage. Pours a dark furniture brown with a red hue, tanned head. Nose is oxidation (gone well) with some walnuts, spices, touch chocolate, liquorish. Taste is chocolate mouse, lots of fruits, walnuts (pos. oxidation note), sweet liquorish, herbal, touch bark, sweet spices. Body is a touch fuller than usual, nice brew. Wonder how this one compares to a fresh one? patricks110 (2486) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 6, 2013
Another solid brew from Vicaris. The pour is a murky burgundy colour with a puffy beige head that dies to a thin nearly non-existnat layer of bubbles. The aroma is rich and fruity with notes of prune, raisin and cherry as well as solid malty toffee and brown sugar notes. A hint of mild spice blends well with the fruity aroma. A bit sweet in the middle with a hint of allspice and toffee. Medium to full bodied with a lingering raisin fruit flavor and a bit of boozy warmth. Overall a solid brew. rederic (3335) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 3, 2013
