[email protected] tasting. Deep ambery brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma is liquorice, spices, alcohol and stuff. First thing that came to mind was Gouden Carolus. Flavour is quite liquorice, some spices and mild wooden and alcoholic notes. Aroma is actually better than the flavour, which feels it’s still quite young. Still nice.

Bottle dregs at 17th kerstbierfest. Chunky funky brown, tan edge head, solid lacing. Aroma of pumpernickel, rye, nice malt and spice. Taste is malty and bready with decent spice. Nice.
Earlier Rating: 1/5/2010 Total Score: 2.9
Dark brown color with a small tan head that settles quickly and leaves minimal lacing. Aroma of cinnamon and malt. Flavor of dark roasted malt and caramel, pretty simple and straightforward. Body is on the thin side, unexpected for the style. Average sort of beer, nothing special. There are definitely better Christmas beers than this.
