Victoria Bitter has been Australias favorite full strength beer brand for many years. VB, as it is widely known, was launched in the 1890s and since then has developed a reputation as a great beer with a tradition of rewarding Australians who work and play hard.

The alcohol percentage went down from 4.8% to 4.6% in 2009.

375ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, malty aroma, hints of corn, grey bread. Taste is minimally sweet grainy, hints of corn, popcorn, flat, bitter hoppy overtones. Monotonous, but not as watery as was expectable, lively carbonated and with fairly lasting finish.

Refreshing Aussie beer. Nothing special in aroma or appearance. Taste is quite bitter, but a clean bitterness. Also some malty sweetness. Will opt for this over most other mass produced brews at a Surf Club or RSL, as it has a bit more character and taste.

It is not the best tasting beer but there is something special about a VB stubbie. Strong after taste and can have a mighty good session on these bad boys.

Bottle at Beyond The Pale, Leek. Pours a clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel, grain, slight butter, a little cereal and subtle grassy hops. Taste of caramel, grain, butter, some cereal and subtle grassy hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A grainy, grassy bitterness in the finish. Not a terrible lager but very buttery and grassy. Average for flavour. Ok for its style.

Aroma is rather weak and grainy but not unpleasant. Taste of grains and grass. Slightly bitter finish. It is not too bad.

From Saveur-Biere. In Teku glass. After dinner. Biterness reminds cruzcampo, but its more tasty and malty, with some wet herbal notes. Pretty drinkable.

I would rather get my next drink directly from an angry Tasmanian Devils tit than drink this swill ever again. It tastes and smells like that sewer fermentation smell you get down in Melbourne docklands in the morning, from the Vegemite factory. Almost the worst beer in the world, but Im from Canada where you have OV and Labatts Blue to compete for that title.

375ml can. Pour light golden color with a decent white head. Head fades quickly. No intense aromas; malt, bread, nutty. Slightly grass-like bitter taste. Refreshing beer for summer time

Tap at the bungee bar in Singapore. Gold pour, white head. Sweet grains, lightly bitter, not fucken bad! Glad I got to try this one.
