COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Victoria , a pilsener-vienna type beer, is the most traditional out of Modelo´s brand portfolio. Unique for its bitterness and strong flavor which instantly pleases even the most demanding consumer. With more than 135 years of excellence, Victoria is one of the oldest beers produced in Mexico.

12-oz at Casa Guererro in Mill Creek. Killer food, don’t really care about the beer. Neither do they, really--served with a thick wedge of lime in a frosted shaker pint. Whatever. Pours a clear medium amber with a loose and sudsy whitish head that goes away eventually. Mild sweet caramel nose, some corn there. Plenty of lime, too, of course, but that doesn’t count. Watery light body, flabby carb. Light caramel and corn mid palate. Finish stays on the right side of tangy, thankfully. But only just.

B. Pours a clear amber color with white head. Have to disagree with the company’s description of "strong flavor".

Bottle. Pour is clear amber with a small white head. Notes of sweet grains, caramel malt, and clove spice.

Pours a light amber color. About one finger cream color head. I missed out a little. I let it freeze and has some frozen stuff when I poured it. After the thaw, it’s still quite pretty.

Aroma is basic. Watery, bready, light hops. Light lemon. It’s primarily water. Eh. Bland.<p.Taste is watery. It is a little bready. Light lemon. It has a pretty good hop bite, though it’s not bitter.

Mouthfeel is light and refreshing. Crisp. Pretty dry.

Overall, it’s okay. If you haven’t had it, you’re not missing a lot. It has the standard Mexican beer taste, though it’s light. It’s okay. I’d probably not recommend it, and I’m undecided if I would buy it again.

12 oz. bottle from the new mega brewery just across the border in Nava, Mexico. This is the Modelo brewery owned by AB InBev. Victoria pours a clear amber with an off-white head. The aroma is quite clean. The flavor is light for a Vienna style Märzen, but smooth and highly drinkable. I like this much better than the brewery´s other products like Corona, Modelo and Pacifico and a lot better than typical American interpretations of this style like Coors Killian´s Irish Red. Pretty nice session beer from the biggest brewery plant in the world with an annual output of 27.5 million hectoliters (23.4 million barrels).

Amber color. Cream colored head. Wispy caramel/nutty finish. Can, bottle and draft. May have been based off an Austrian recipe. Bitter and sweet notes throughout.

Bottle. It poured an amber color with one finger of a quickly dissipating white head. Malty caramel aroma.

Can (Thanks Jukka). Deep orangeish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is grainy, some maize, mild toasted notes as well as some earth. Flavour is kind of dusty, grainy, some slight toasted and mild strange sweetish notes. Watery and lacks a body pretty much.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Rob G.; shared with Boo. Aroma: Very light toasted malts; maybe a touch of apple cider vinegar? Hmm. Additionally, a dash of some noble family hops in there. Appearance: Transparent golden light brown with very soft carbonation holding up a bubbly tan head that settles into a thin ring. Flavor: Initially toasty and semi-sweet, but is quickly reigned in with some decent hop bitterness- well, more than you’re likely to see in virtually any mass-market Mexican lager (as least from what I’ve had). The finish is semi-dry. Palate: Light body, slick texture, soft carbonation, abrupt finish. Overall: Not too bad, really. I prefer the fuller malt character of Negra Modelo, but I’d wager this is the better warm weather beer.
