This was a $4 bottle special at "Chicago Boss" a dive bar in Near North surrounded by overpriced restaurants with "fusion" in all their menus. So why not. Has a nice beer smell right under the cap, although once I poured it into a glass, a little bit of skunk came out. I thought the color was little more ruddy than your average Mexican lager, but I see from the style that it’s actually a bit light for a Mexican-made Vienna. Taste is malty, with a dry finish, minus the occasional graininess of a dark Mexican beer. I get a hint of corn that stays around in the aftertaste, but it did not distract from the basic beeriness, as it does not add much sweetness. A good Mexican lager to discover on a hot day of walking around.

Ambar clara, apenas espuma. Aroma cereal, bastante marcado, notas de frutos secos. En boca presenta gas punzante, paso fácil, algo aguada. Sabor dulce, muy cereal y malteado. Empalaga.

12oz bottle at Margarita's. Clear gold with a fizzy white head. Pale malt, corn, maybe some light lemon, sweet finish. OK.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2017 Okay Vienna style lager. Weak malt taste and okay color . Comparable to Modelo Negro.

355ml bottle. Clear, orangey amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, minimally grey-ish, white head. Grainy, minimally toasty, malty aroma, a touch of caramel and silage, very cautious, unspecifically fruity overtones of red fruit. Taste mellow, minimally toasty, caramel malty, diluted hints of cherry, minimally metallic, bitter hoppy overtones. Clean, a bit monotonous.

D237 on the bottle. BB December 23rd? It's a pretty gold colour, good head of foam, with lacing. Smells of grain, light corn, bits of citrus, bread. Malt isn't all that bready, maybe toasted? Light taste of corn, more grain, minimal bitterness and it doesn't seem to come from any citrus. It's big with the flavours but what's there is satisfying to me. It IS more bitter than the Modelo Especial and I like that on a hot summer day

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2017 Head quickly dies away to nothing. Kind of sweet caramel and lemon aroma. Flavour is bland and a little sickly -- like watered down lager -- with a metallic edge. Really very bland in all ways.

Clear light amber, white lacing foam head. Light caramel aroma, light bitterness and again caramel notes. Not a bad beer. (Houston 201705)

Pours pale gold into a shaker. White head with little retention recedes to nothing. Cracker and malt aromas. Dry with malt and cracker...

12floz bottle no freshness date, paid $1.50 for a single, poured it into a pint glass. Light amber in color and nose consists of a mild honey nut cheerio-like aroma. Body is light and slick with a buttered white bread flavor. Not bad, although it is a weak representation for the style it falls under.

Light with some sweet malts. A bit bread and dough toasted malt. Medium bodied. A nicely refreshing Lager.
