COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Exhibiting a deep, chestnut color and malty aroma All Malt Dark Lager is a very inviting beer. Mildly malty, with little lingering sweetness to note, Dark Lager is surprisingly refreshing. This is beer as it was meant to be, firm and satisfying. Seasonal specialty available January - April on draft.

Backlog...late 2011/early 2012...probably draft @ VBC...Pours clear amber with a minimal tan head. Aroma is nutty with a touch of sweet caramel. Flavor follows suit...some earthy/breadiness...slightly bland and muddled. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and the finish is tealike and abrupt.

[email protected]’s. Deep muddy amber with a nice looking head. Yeast, bready, and some slight sweetness waft from the glass. Not much going on here. Thin body with slight bready malts, floral hops, and finishing bland. Ehhh not my thing at all. Just a glorified Yuengling

Draft. Pours copper with minimal head. There is tons of carbonation in the glass. Aroma is mostly bread and a little malty sweetness. Taste is pretty crisp without much distinction. Okay...

Tap at Victory. Pours a clear Vienna SRM, light amber, with small, white foam. Weak formation. Sweet, toffee nose. Baked apples come through. Taste is tangy, soapy, fairly tannic with tea leafs. Slightly buttery and toffee through the finish. Not my favorite. Suddy palate. I’ll stick to their pilsners.

Draft from diamond. Nutty brown pour with reddish hilights. Not much head. Yeasty malty hoppy. Not that special.

First brew of this style. The body was a clear brown, and for a light colored beer, the nose was huge on toffee and roasted malts. As for the taste, it was very malty and lightly roasted with hints of caramel and hops. Unbalanced and sort of sweet, but drinkable nonetheless.

This is a very different beer. Wonderfully malty and flavorful. I think the difference must be the slight sweetness, yet it is surprisingly good!
