Imperial Brown Stout

Clear dark, very dark brown, with brown slowly settling foam head. Nice warm stout aroma, some hops, some sugar, some herbs. Good. Again, smooth velvet drinkable beer. Light bitterness, coffee, chocolate tones. All it needs. (Velp 201703)

Bottle sample at a tasting at our place. Thanks tom L. Black. A little smoky but with lots of chocolate liquor and some coconut and raisins aroma. Bitter, dry, a little alcoholic taste. Full body, a little carbonated, alcoholic chocolate finish.

Kauge (1976) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 4, 2016
Bottle, shared by Mait - thanks! Brown, beige head. Sweet, sugary, chocolaty, caramelly. Aroma was fine but taste and palate not so much. Thin carbonation. Ashy mouthfeel. Dry, nettley, alcoholic finish. Harsh brew. Too sharp and edgy to enjoy.

tomer (3565) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - JUN 27, 2016
At a tasting, thanks, small stable long lasting creamy head, opaque very dark brown color, aroma of milk chocolate, cocoa ,vanila and nuts, dark chocolate flavor with charred hints, quite sweet, light but noticable and a bit harsh carbonation. Nice but a bit disapointing.

Bottle. Dark brown colour. Thin beige head. Hints of cocoa, coffee, slight sourness in the aroma. Hints of chocolate and cocoa and bread at first. Slight sweetness in the middle. Milk chocolate and cocoa in the end. Rather heavy bodied, drinkable imperial stout.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks Tom L. Black with a tan head. Nice roasty aroma with dark chocolate, some coffee, a bit of dark fruits, boozy note. Sweet flavor with chocolate, cookie, malt, cocoa, caramel, nuts, and a bitterish finish. Medium to full-bodied. Very nice.

500ml bottle - shared by Mait - thanks!
Very perfumey aroma, some roast too, but loads of heady esters, heading towards glue. Dark, small head. Dirty palate, a bit yeasty and rough. Big boozy taste. Dry dirty ashtray finish. Very harsh and aggressive. Oppressive, and rough. Way too much booze.
