Draft at blind tiger. Pours a deep amber body with spotty white lacing. Aroma is plain malt, sweet wheat, and very light hop. Mouthfeel is thin with notes of malt dominating - hardly any hop presence. Did I get the wrong beer? Theydon_Bois (19501) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 30, 2012
Tap at Victory, Downington PA - 25/05/12.
Pours a clear amber colour with a finger of off-white head.
Floral hops, herbs, touch of citrus on the nose - not too much going on.
Pale malt flavour, a little grassy, muted hops, citrus.
Medium bodied, moderate carbonation.
Drinkable but pretty bland. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 30, 2012
This poured a darker yellow to orange color with a beige head. Arom was of grassy hops, cracker, and some yeast. Flavor was a tad sweet, grainy, some biscut, and bitter hops, but not much flavor. Meh. reggiedunlop (3724) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 4, 2012
Pours a clear amber with a medium lt tan head. Aroma is malty...light toastiness...a bit of fresh mild pine. Flavor is more hoppy...piney...caramely and toasted toffee malts underneath. Mouthfeel is full and the finish is mildly piney. alobar (3784) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 20, 2012
Clear amber color with a white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and pine. Bitter hop bite with citrus, pine, and some caramel upfront. Very nice beer with very good lacing.

Draught at Downingtown BrewPub: Aroma of malt, hops, florals, and some herbs. Poured amber in color with a creamy, dense, off-white head that lasted throughout. Clear. Sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet, and light to medium bitter. Tastes of malt, hops, resin, florals, and some fruit. Medium body. Tingly, then dry texture. Average carbonation. Medium bitter, lightly sweet, malt, hop, floral, resin finish is dry. 7%ABV is completely hidden throughout. Leafs93 (2305) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 9, 2012
Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is florals, toast and citrus. Taste is sweet with very light bitters. Light and slick mouth feel. Decent but as others have pointed out, it just seemed to be missing something. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 7, 2012
Tap at Victory. Stiller amber pour. Nice head retention. Floral and citrus hop nose. Taste is malt forward, some toffee and bitter chocolate richness with nutty bitterness balancing. A bit too much walnut and orange peel. Pretty straightforward American IPA. Malt forward. Thicker lacing. A bit salty and too nutty for me.

Medium copper pour, darker than Spalt and Mandarina. The most biscuit-like of the three, the most malt forward, the least dry. Nice floral hop bouquet, grainy biscuit, a touch sweet bread, relatively low hop expression. Rating this one from memory so I don’t have a ton more descriptors, though it was probably the least interesting/enjoyable of the three Bavarians. Tap at pub, tried against the Bavarian Spalt, Bavarian Mandarina, and Headwaters Pale Ale. Dark than the other two, less effervescent, longer lasting spotty head. Nose and flavor are immediately weakest of three, sugary orange candy and light vitamin C, consider caramel qualities, way too little carbonation, under-attenuated sweet sticky finish. Definitely the worst of the three:
1) Bavarian Spalt
2) Headwaters Pale
3) Bavarian Mandarina
4) Bavarian Polaris
