On tap at Victory. Poured an amber color with a small sized head. Floral hops, grass, and some citrus. Tastes follow with some toatiness. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 7, 2012
Tap at Victory. Big nonic pint. Huge creamy lace atop a deeper red body. Clear with lower carbonation. Jose has interesting floral and citrus hop complexity and heavy malt medley. Taste is sharp as hell, very bitter with tangy slickness and long almond flesh bitterness. Very raw and malt forward with long bitterness though the finish. Fruity, thick strawberry through the end with green tea herbalness. Oily palate. Very rich body, huge bitterness to balance. Fairly aggressive IPA vs the Mandarina which was subtle and complex.

This poured a darker amber color, darker than i was epecting with a white head. Aroma was grassy hops, light citrus and floral notes to with some pils malt. Flavor was more of an imperial pils than ipa, grassy hops, lighter malt, but not much shines through to make this great and a bit heavier than I would have liked. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 18, 2012
Draught at Downingtown BrewPub: Aroma of malt, hops, citrus, and grass. Poured amber in color with a small, creamy, dense, white head that disappeared except for around the edges. Clear. Sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of malt, fruit, flowers, hops, resin, slight wood, and candy. Medium body. Chalky, then dry texture. Lightly sweet, medium bitter, hop, malt, flower, fruit, light resin finish is dry. MrChopin (4305) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAY 6, 2012
Tap at pub, tried against the Bavarian Polaris, Bavarian Mandarina, and Headwaters Pale Ale. Lightly effervescent gold, thin fizzy white head dies quickly with little lace. Amazingly dry and earthy profile, pine hope leading the way for a heavy dose of honey-dough and flaky crust mid before splashing melon, grain, and grass accented by a dry, highly carbonated finish. Whenever Victory does anything associated with German brewing, I’m in!

From the tap poured a light brown color with a fair amount of head. Hoppy malty flavor with a quick finish. Leafs93 (2343) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 9, 2012
Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is citrus and florals. Taste is very bitter with some sweetness. Oily mouth feel makes this feel medium bodied. Best of the Bavarian series.
