Clear gold, with a white head. Aroma is like a sweet pils, rather than an IPA. Taste is very unusual, with odd sweetness, like some sort of stevia grapefruit soda. $3/12oz

Minnesota Trip Beer #158. 12 ounce bottle from North Loop Spirits, 5/11/16. Clear golden, large foamy white head. Good retention. Aroma of lemony hops and pale malts. The taste is agave, citrus, pale malt, lime. Medium bodied, well balanced. Solid.

Struck me as a mediocre IPA with a strange artificial fake fruity taste.. maybe the agave syrup?

3.3
McGarnigle (654) - Rochester, New York, USA - SEP 1, 2016
Bottle. I don’t quite have a grasp on what agave is. The syrup is a sweetener, but that usually has dryness (and alcohol) to beer. Does it change the taste? The grapefruit juice and hops seem to be the big players there. This is grapefruit peel with the bitter both left on. The body mostly stays out of the way. Interesting IPA, but not warm and loving.

12 ounce bottle. The hops included look ideal and they lead the aroma. Just a little agave. All of the hops can be tasted which is great. Agave, too. Earthy and a bit spicy. Alcohol is tasted and the ABV does not high enough for that. Grapefruit, tropical, and citrus fruit are all nice. Malts are kind of bready. Decent.

Bottle - pours pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, malt and citrus. Taste is bit of hop with something I’m not sure what it is but im not a fan. Medium palate.
