Draft at Victory. Pours a medium gold with a white head. Next to the other CBC belgian-style offerings this expressed a more tangy, almost limey hop presence without the bitterness or malt heft of an IPA. Very dry in fact, almost minerally. Light and spritzy. Quite good play as usual with the fresh, tight hops. Very pure CBC offering from Victory as always. adrian910ss (2574) - Doylestown, PA, USA - MAY 10, 2010
On draft at the brewpub during the night of the deer incident. Pours a clear coppery liquid gold with a medium sized white head. Aroma of light buttery notes, herbal tea, light lemon, grassy notes and floral hops. Taste is much the same as the aroma. fata2683 (2176) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - AUG 8, 2010
on tap at the brewpub, pours amber with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet toasted malt. Flavor is well balanced toasted malt and semi-sweet candied sugar/grassy hop finish. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - SEP 14, 2010
Tap at BT. Pours a medium bright copper with a thin head. Aroma is herbal flowery hops which start out good but there is diacetyl especially as it warms, moderate Belgian spicy yeast character as well. Flavor is bready, creamy malt, toast, light butter in the middle, then grassy and a big bitterness in the end that is slightly harsh. Getting past the butter, it is actually not that bad- still lots of fresh german hops which I like. j12601 (11831) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUL 16, 2010
On tap at the Blind Tiger’s Victory event. Pours a just barely hazed gold with a large white head. Soft sweet toffee and caramel, a bit of vanilla. Sweet, almost like a cream ale, touch of almost. Nice grapefruit bitterness on the finish.

20100718 Tap at brewpub. Hazed, medium amber with a lasting, rocky, khaki froth. Aroma was caramel and yeast, quite bready, with some peppery hay notes. Medium to light bodied but with a resinous stickiness and nice finishing grassy hop bite. Lingering pith, pepper. Quite nice, clean stuff that would make a pleasant everyday session beer to have on tap at home. obxdude10 (2324) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 27, 2010
Another really nice pale ale from this CBC series. The beer pours a golden color with a lacy and sticky white head. The nose was full of floral hops, along with some citrus and light toast notes. The body was smooth, semi-spicy and delicious. Floral and resiny hops dominate the flavors, but I also got some light caramel and bready notes. The finish was smooth, a bit dry and quite floral. Draft at VBC. Pours hazy gold with white head. Nose is pale malt, Saazy hops, some funky bready notes. Tastes of pale malt, rock sugary, with hops, some funk, bready, mild fruit and florals. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - JUL 5, 2010
Tap at Victory. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a medium bubbly/creamy white head. ARoma of light belgian yeast and citrusy hop character. The yeast and hops came together ok in this one. Not as nicely as the Hallertauer did though. ryan (3186) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - JUN 2, 2011
Spicy nose with some lemon and grass. Taste is very peppery, slightly woody with a dying finish. Like the other versions, the yeast is overwhelming the hops, perhaps moreso here.
