12oz bottle-pours a tight off white head and pale yellow color. Aroma is crisp light malt, spice, yeast. Taste is slightly sweet crisp light malt, herbal/spice hops, yeast. ryan (3185) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - JUN 2, 2011
Spicy nose with some lemon and grass. Taste is very peppery, slightly woody with a dying finish. Like the other versions, the yeast is overwhelming the hops, perhaps moreso here. Thorpe429 (5122) - , Illinois, USA - MAR 17, 2011
On tap at the brewery. Reviewed from notes.
Pours a nice light golden color with a white head with nice staying power. Lace rings on the way down. The nose is definitely pretty interesting, with some light caramel and bread notes alongside a bit of citrus and grass. Some floral aspects as well. The taste features more generic malt and less of the more interesting hop aromas. Feel is nice--fairly light body and somewhat dry. Drinks quite well and I like the concept.

Tap at BT. Pours a medium bright copper with a thin head. Aroma is herbal flowery hops which start out good but there is diacetyl especially as it warms, moderate Belgian spicy yeast character as well. Flavor is bready, creamy malt, toast, light butter in the middle, then grassy and a big bitterness in the end that is slightly harsh. Getting past the butter, it is actually not that bad- still lots of fresh german hops which I like. fata2683 (2202) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - AUG 8, 2010
on tap at the brewpub, pours amber with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet toasted malt. Flavor is well balanced toasted malt and semi-sweet candied sugar/grassy hop finish.

Tap ay Blind Tiger: Pours a bright golden with a thin but dense white head. Simple aroma- some doughy Belgian pale malts, hint of citrus and a huge chalky phenol presence. Nice fluffy mouthfeel with a very dry phenolic flavor. Slightly bubblegummy fore leading to chalky drier phenols and a long dry noble hop spiciness. Simple and solid, but one dimensional. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 29, 2010
Draught at the Brewery: Aroma of diacetyl, grain, and husk. Poured pale amber/pale yellow in color with a tiny, dense, white head that disappeared except for a film on top of the beer and around the edges. Slightly hazy. Sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and slightly bitter. Tastes of diacetyl, hops, grain, slight spice, slight nuts, and slight toasting. Light to medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Diacetyl, hop, nut, and slight toasted finish is a tad dry. Too buttery! willblake (2664) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - JUL 19, 2010
20100718 Tap at brewpub. Hazed, medium amber with a lasting, rocky, khaki froth. Aroma was caramel and yeast, quite bready, with some peppery hay notes. Medium to light bodied but with a resinous stickiness and nice finishing grassy hop bite. Lingering pith, pepper. Quite nice, clean stuff that would make a pleasant everyday session beer to have on tap at home. j12601 (13304) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUL 16, 2010
On tap at the Blind Tiger’s Victory event. Pours a just barely hazed gold with a large white head. Soft sweet toffee and caramel, a bit of vanilla. Sweet, almost like a cream ale, touch of almost. Nice grapefruit bitterness on the finish.
