August 2010: Victory Smaragd Belgian Pale Ale ... Aroma: Whaeat, grass, and spice. Appearance: Cloudy golden color topped with a thin white crown. Flavor: Toasted malt that’s kind of sweet; orange peel and spice. Palate: Average. Overall: Decent, but not great; I wasn’t too sure what to expect, but it was a bit disappointing...
Draught (6% ABV) at Buckeye Beer Engine in Cleveland, OH. Rating #31 for this beer.
(Sample Date: 9/4/2010 Source:Belvidere at Broad) Tea like floral hop aroma with some grain and something else underneath. Cloudy amber/copper with little head. Grainy and very floral flavor, chamomile in flavor. Light body and mouth. Light but with nice complexity. Finish is dry, fruity and floral. Rciesla (5607) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - DEC 16, 2010
Draft. Pours a copper toned body with a white head and light lacing. Hoppy and sweet. Grass y, light pine, earth and herbal hop tones. A light sweetness, mint tone, and light fruit tones. Decent ale. JoeMcPhee (9549) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 31, 2010
Very hazy yellow-orange pour topped by a thick sticky white head. The nose is very fresh and spicy. A bit of light floral/lemony citrus. Soft noble/spicy hoppiness with lemon and grapefruit featured. Fruity hoppiness balanced by a fresh earthy/minerally bitterness. There is even a kiss of banana that is fairly unusual. The palate comes across a little bit watery. Earthy and fruity and fresh. Pretty damn solid. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - SEP 17, 2010

Tap at BT> Pours a medium copper with an ok head. Aroma is also a touch buttery, but is relatively faint, some good grassy herbal hops like mt hood, and tradition- slight pine needle and mint, with light spicy and flowers some phenolic. Flavor is light phenolic, big grassy hop character, licorice and apple hints as well, ok pale malts, crackery light doughy, and a more peppery phenol tone in the end as it warms. Ok. On draft at Broad at Belvidere. Pours a semi-hazy orange with minimal ring of white head. This is a weird beer. Nose is sweet and floral hoppy, almost cologne like. Flavor has more potpourri notes, but with a distinct foresty hop oil bitterness. Some orange peel notes. Extremely tea like. Is this belgian because of the yeast? Kinda like a homebrew in a lot of respects. Tastes like strait pellet hops. Big citrusy carbonic bite. Not a fan. zdk (1917) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 2, 2010
Tap @ Fat Heads Cleveland - Hazy orange pour, piney citrus arouma. Tasty sweet caramel and dry hops. Peaches, apples and other fruits. Unique new hop profile that I can eactly describe. Dry finish. beachbum25 (1092) - Powellville, Maryland, USA - AUG 13, 2010
On tap @ Lures, Crownsville Md-Fairly clear golden pour w/o much head. Candied sugar aroma. Started out w/some standard Belgian flavors, candied sugar, bread dough, yeast, but had quite a bit of hop bite to it, almost distractingly so. I guess I just prefer my Belgians a little more...Belgian. Not bad though, a little different. fata2683 (2202) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - AUG 8, 2010
on tap at the brewpub, pours gold with a thin white head. Aroma is grassy with herbal hops. Flavor is lots of hay and floral hops with some white pepper, perhaps from the yeast.
