Tap at PH. light hazy copper in color with thin head and lacing. Notes were english like, grains, oats, caramel, brown ale, leather and light hops. Palate was light to medium with somewhat bland notes. Pint went fast but I didnt enjoy it. Drake (13726) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Brewvival Trip Beer 101. Pours a clear copper color with a thin frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of herbal and spicy hops, caramel and toast. The taste is spicy and herbal hops, caramel malts. Medium bodied. cheap (5856) - Beaver Valley, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 23, 2013
On tasp at the bocktown. Not much aroma, just a clean olfactory. Thin swampy head. Typical color, but just slightly darker than a pale ale. First taste is a little like old rope and leather. taste is just a tad bitter. But it never cpmes acorss as over the top. Not bad, has manners. Better than expected. Finish lingers a little more than I like, but over all its ok. reggiedunlop (3724) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 18, 2013
Pours a clear amber/golden with a medium off white head. Aroma has light malty sweetness...mild fruit and dry leaves.. flavor follows suit and adds mild earthy/grassy bitterness...good balance. Mouthfeel is medium and the finishis crisp and balanced earthy/maltiness. Leafs93 (2305) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Pours amber with a small tanish head. Aroma is caramel, toast and nuts. Taste is sweet with very light bitters. Medium bodied with a some stickiness. This seemed to be lacking something, it did not seem as complete as other Victory beers.

Growler from JC’s, pours deep golden with strong orange highlights and an off-white head. Nose fresh with American hops, some orange peel leading the citrus. In the mouth, lightly bitter and moderately dry, has a gorgeous yeasty-bready finish and aftertaste, hops are suddenly muted and the citrus takes a dive underneath the lightly caramelous malt. Touches of nut, earth. Medium-full body, smooth and clean lagery character with pleasant bitterness, very mild spice, quenching. adrian910ss (2572) - Doylestown, PA, USA - DEC 11, 2008
On draft at the GL. Pours a clear light copper with a medium white head. Aroma of grapes, hops and grains. Taste of watery green grapes with a hoppy aftertaste. DocLock (10683) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 23, 2008
Draft at Victory. Pours dark straw with nose of hopcitrus, some grainy malt, spices. Tastes mildly hoppy, orange zesty, with cereally malt, and mild spiciness, and a medium to light palate that loses aroma and flavor notes as it warms. This one is not bad, but not great either. Tap at Barcade: Deep golden pour with a fading off-white head. Has a nice sweet/citrusy hop character in the aroma with some caramel soaked oranges. The flavor has some American hop notes upfront- mildly perfumy orange and subtle peach. The malt character comes through later on giving it some mild toasted notes, with a nutty touch, yet it remains fairly clean. The finish has a balancing, seemingly Euro-hop dryness. Well rounded. puzzl (3258) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 21, 2008
Tap at Barcade. Normally I am very unenthusiastic for small batch victory beers and wouldn’t go out of my way for them, but I’d just mentioned in the forums the day before hearing of this beer that I’d go out of my way for any Steam Beer that showed up, as the style is so rare. Well, I had no choice at that point, so I made the trek for this. Blech. Deep copper pour with a flimsy head. Very clean aroma, german hops, peanut. Fresh, clean flavor, some big steam. Drinkable, but kind of boring. I will say that it does the style very well.
