Sampler at the brew pub. One word to describe this stout is SMOOTH. The taste of creamy roasted malts with very low alcohol content. SpencerDB (223) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 10, 2009
Got this on draught. The glass for this beer is cool. Poured really dark with soft brown tints when held to the light. Had a frothy head which helped the earthy flavors and roasty flavor come out. Was a little watery and lacked body for me, but decent. emacgee (4711) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - OCT 22, 2009

Draft. Dark brown to near black pour. Aroma ashy malts, light coffee, and roasted malt. Taste is more roasted malt, ashy notes, light coffee, and light chocolate. Body is creamy and soft with light carbonation. Ends with more roasted with malt, coffee, ashy notes and light cocoa. Not too bad. blipp (9899) - La Mesa, California, USA - AUG 18, 2009
Draft at Blind Tiger. Pours near black with a creamy nitro head. Light roasty aroma with a hint of chocolate. Roasted malty flavor, light chocolate with an earthy hint. Slight acidity. Pretty true to the dry stout style. jrmac (335) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 4, 2009
A very thin and sad stout compared to the storm king. a different style of course, but I prefer the heavier creamier stouts to the dry stuff. Gabler (87) - , New York, USA - JUL 13, 2009
Tap. Poured dark brown, medium light brown head. Aroma was lightly roasted malts, hint of hops. Coffee, roasted malt notes in the flavor. Nice smooth mouthfeel. Highly drinkable dark beer. A winner! GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 8, 2009
On tap at Bilbo Baggins in Alexandria, VA. Pours a deep ruby with a one finger tan nitro head. Aroma is light and subdued but roasty, cocoa. Taste is light to medium bodied with cocoa, malted milk balls, and some chocolate covered strawberries. Sweet, refreshing flavor rather than heavy roasted, typical stouts flavors. Clean finish. Lackluster but enjoyable.
