I have to agree with many others on this rating. Probably not one of Victory’s best brews. It doesn’t have much aroma (disappointing) and for a dry stout, it is watered down too much. Not much of carbonation, but still a drinkable beer. I wouldn’t but a case of this or pay full micro price for it either. axilla (962) - New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 3, 2008
At brewery. Poured a thinish black body with a nice frothy off- white head. The aroma is quite week with some bitter coffee and lactic notes. Flavor is moslty old bitter dry coffee with some subtle hints of earthy hops and mild sour milk. Not at all a fan of the style. ttutony (952) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 11, 2010
Jet black with a creamy off-white head. Nice roasted aroma profile. Pretty light body, but makes for a sessionable stout.
ExpendableHero (934) - Florida, USA - AUG 16, 2016
Kind of like a super Guinness. Dark, cola colored beer with a white head. Faint aromas of chocolate. Tastes of mild chocolate, watery coffee, and some roasted grains. Bittersweet, somewhat lactic, finish. Very dry on the mouth feel but very smooth. Tasty and easy to drink.

Tap @ Pony w Streets. Black pour, light cinnamon head with heavy, webby lacing. Aroma is tobacco smoke. Thin, watery palate with light notes of roasty malts but not much else going on. It’s like a thinner, more boring Guinness. Really not much to not but it’s not really bad. No donnybrook going on here. bp (924) - New York, New York, USA - MAY 17, 2008
Draft at the brewery: pours a dark black with a big frothy head, aroma of coffee and malt, taste is dry with some malt and coffee flavors though both are fairly subtle, watery mouthfeel from a beer that looks like it would be pretty heavy. Pretty good interpretation of the style. MattH (923) - California, USA - SEP 3, 2012
Tap. Nice smooth palate courtesy of the nitro. Thin body. Flavor of chocolate malts and rich dirt. Hawksfan17 (890) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - JUL 28, 2008
Pours black with a mocha head that is quite frothy and leaves lacing. Smells and tastes of coffee. The flavor also has notes of chocolate. It is light but not really in a bad way. Nice amount of bitterness. Smooth and dry finish. pilgrimoutlaw (888) - Wayne, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 9, 2013
On hand pump at Brewpub. Pours dark reddish black, creamy tan head. Lightly bitter and sweet. Roast, caramel, cereal. Smooth, light body.
