COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The tastiest dark brew since the rollicking days of the infamous Donnybrook Fair, Donnybrook Stout offers unparalleled refreshment for an ale so deep in flavor and intrigue. Fresh, whole flower British and Slovenian hops provide the proper, earthy hint of 'the auld sod' while deep roasted barley and low alcohol keep Donnybrook Stout clean, smooth and flavorful. Served on mixture of 75% nitro and 25% CO2.

Draft. Chocolate barley malt aroma. Very dark chestnut with moderate head. Chocolate-coffee malt flavor with a light hay hops flavor. Very nice.

hopscotch (11181) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 26, 2009
Nitro… Almost black with a mid-sized, creamy, lightly tanned head that never dissipates. When I held it up to light I saw ruby sparkles around the edges of the glass. Dark chocolate and espresso aroma with lesser notes of smoke and charcoal. Light to medium-bodied and a touch creamy with only a whisper of carbonation. Acrid, burnt, lightly tangy flavor - a touch thin. Bland, dry finish.

daknole (11050) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUN 25, 2010
Live rate in the Philly airport. Nearly black, creamy nitro head. Nice dry and toasty aroma with hints of coffee and charcoal. Flavor tastes like a super ashy Guinness. Barely ok.

3.2
DocLock (10970) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 30, 2007
Draft at Capone’s. Dark blackish brown pour with minimal off-white head. Aroma of roast dark malt, some chocolate syrup. Medium palate heft, with a rather disappointing flavor profile, containing notes of roast malt, some chocolate, and an overall dryness throughout.

marcus (10571) - Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 10, 2011
On nitro tap at Boneshakers, Rocklin. Pours black with a pretty beige head and a smoked cocoa aroma. There is a medium-bodied treacle flavor, very creamy, with a dry burnt finish.

onceblind (10319) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 18, 2013
Clear black pour with a big creamy light beige head. Aroma has a roasty nuttiness with a faint creaminess under all of it. Flavor is clean and light, featuring notes of roasty dark malts, a little nuttiness, a little smoke, and some peat. A Light and quaffable well-made stout.

sebletitje (10282) - Enghien, BELGIUM - MAR 11, 2009
Tap at Trappeze, Athens GA Pours dark brown with thick mocha like nitro head Aroma was rather weak and watery with some malts for a charcoal nose. Taste, light, some roasted malts and thin touch of coffee with undertones of mocha with a lactose like palate. Overall mouthfeel was fluffy and silky/creamy with good nitro presence. Victory’s version of Guinness? dry finish, simple, light, too watery for my taste but very drinkable.

3
GT (10002) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 8, 2009
On tap at Bilbo Baggins in Alexandria, VA. Pours a deep ruby with a one finger tan nitro head. Aroma is light and subdued but roasty, cocoa. Taste is light to medium bodied with cocoa, malted milk balls, and some chocolate covered strawberries. Sweet, refreshing flavor rather than heavy roasted, typical stouts flavors. Clean finish. Lackluster but enjoyable.
