perfect example of the style...this makes me want to sit and drink all day long...and due to the light ABV content that is very much a possible reality! John25 (1291) - Middletown, New Jersey, USA - AUG 20, 2015
Nitro draft. Black, perfect cream head. Huge roasted malt aroma with a nutty sweetness in the background. The taste follows with vanilla and hints of dark fruit. The mouthfeel is incredibly light and rich/creamy at the same time. (Nitro goodness). Guiness wishes they could do this. At 3.7% this is better than many of the big boy stouts! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone Nejhleader (1561) - Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 3, 2007
I’m guessing this is what was labeled dry stout at the brewery. I thought this was really good. Really dark colour, very smooth and light body. Had a really nice roasted malt taste to it as well. Good beer. nuplastikk (6289) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 24, 2008
Draft at Max’s Taphouse, Baltimore. Was listed at 5% on the menu, but 3.7% sounds a little more on the mark. Pitch black color. Very subdued carbonation. Sweet and dry with lots of roasty, chocolate nuances. Excellent Stout with a lot of character. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 9, 2011
Black with good, creamy, tan head / Light nose of coffee and cocoa / Medium to full body, creamy, some acidity, with good balance and finish / Soft, smooth, flavors of coffee and unsweetened chocolate / Very nice, especially in the body, without being distinctive.

Malty, light cocoa hints, with creamy nitro smoothness and a hint of sweetness. Nate (4279) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 7, 2014
On tap at Brunzies. Nice roasty aroma with notes of chocolate, coffee, and smoke. Dark brown-black opaque with creamy beige lacing head. Medium body on nitro tap. Mild flavors, light lactose, and rich roasted malt. Some coffee and chocolate. Mild carbonic tang and light malt bitterness. Nutty finish with clean after. kerenmk (4753) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - OCT 22, 2016
On tap, Top Hops Beer Shop, NYC, 11.5.16. Erez. Black with a creamy tan head. Lots of coffee, a little cocoa and earthy baked potato in the nose, smooth cocoa and soft bitterness in the mouth. Rather light-bodied, chocolatey finish and smooth. Leighton (21258) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 2, 2010
Tap at Angels and Kings. Pours dark brown, murky, with a nitrous, dense and creamy tan head. Pleasant aroma of dark, roasted malts and light cocoa. Mildly sweet flavor, with a nice, roasty character. Some bitterness further dries out what is already a dry experience. Medium bodied with soft, extremely fine carbonation. Very creamy and velvety. At 3.7%, this is a miraculously tasty beer and an absolute delight to the sessioner in all of us. It’s hard to believe this beer clocks in at just over a 3. Tap at Pizzeria Paradiso Georgetown. Nearly black, off white head. Aroma of coffee. Taste is coffee, slight cocoa, black pepper. Nice.
