Transparent tea, puffy large bubbled white head collars nicely with thin cap. Muted mess of a nose, light mushroom and stable, warmth brings a lot of playdoh. Flavor is similarly funky, sauer kraut up front before burnt caramel and dough take over. Creamy body belies look, reinforces muted softness. callmemickey (4542) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 23, 2013
Deep red body, medium sized off-white head, nice lacing. Caramel, floral hops, some citrus, and some sweet bready malts. Medium to full bodied, some residual sweetness, mellow bitterness. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 22, 2013
Growler pour, courtesy of. Big Straight Al. Pours a hazy reddish amber with medium beige head and ringed lace. Nose of caramel, citrus, roast. Medium body, mild bitterness. Something slightly off putting

On tap at brewpub. Pours dark red with two finger off white head. Citrus, dark fruit, cherry, caramel, lagerish. Moderately bitter and sweet. Full, crisp body. I didn’t particularly care for it, though the beer is probably a good example of the style.
