Tap at the Boilermaker, Philly - 24/05/12.
Light brown pour with a creamy off white-head.
Great chocolate nose with hops in the background.
Sweet tasting, cocoa at the fore, a little malt, not much bitterness.
Light end of medium bodied creamy and easy drinking.
Something a little different and they pulled it off well! corby112 (2804) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2012
Draft at The Pour House in Westmont, NJ.
Pours a dark chestnut brown color with mahogany edges and a 1.5 finger frothy off-white head. Great retention, only slowly fading into a lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Slightly toasty arom with hints of roasted malt, cocoa, toffee, nut and lactic cream. The nitro really takes away from what seems like be a great nose.
Medium bodied with a balance of slightly roasted malt, sweetr notes and lactic cream. The nitro adds a creamy thickness to the body which helps the mouthfeel but takes away from the flavor. Hints of toast, dark malt, cocoa, toffee and hazelnut. Slight sweetness balances things out. Not a bad beer but just kind of average. jrodooo5 (1638) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - JUN 2, 2012
Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is kind of stale stench. Taste is mainly of cocoa. It’s medium bodied & goes down pretty smooth. Sessionable but not remarkable. JStax (6357) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - APR 29, 2012
Poured into a whiskey tasting glass. Appearance is a translucent Ruby with a light khaki colored head of foam. Aroma is a rich peanut butter cup. Not like a Reese’s, but more like what you’d get from Werthers. Taste is more peanut butter cup goodness. Pretty damn good. NikkTwist (3193) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 20, 2012
Draft. Very dark with a fluffy head. Semi-sweet chocolate nose. Cocoa powdery body. Minimal coffee flavor, this stout is all about chocolate. Body is a bit thin which works against it as it warms. Best cold. Nice enough but very one note.

Pours dark brown with a thin tan head...retention and lacing is very poor. Aroma has light roasty maltiness and faint cocoa...subdued. flavor has lots of dark chocolate but not sweet or bitter...balanced with nice roastiness. Mouthfeel is medium...slightly lifeless...with a roasty dark chocolate finish that dries out and lingers. Beerdedone (3401) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 1, 2012
on nitro at victory. Pours brown with a creamy off-white head. Aroma was roasty with milk chocolate and cocoa. Smooth & creamy flavor of chocolate, cocoa powder, roast and had a hint of caramel. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 24, 2012
