COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

12oz. bottle. Slightly opaque golden color topped by a fairly active head that dissipates a bit quickly. Aroma is of bready malt with a faint touch of hay. Flavor is typical for the style, perhaps just a bit too sweet. The hops do appear more fully on the back of the tongue. Mouthfeel seems a little thin to me, but I’ve already been drinking winter seasonals this year! This is a pretty good O-fest, but I’ll stick with the German brewers for the best.

Smooth, malty, almost like a roasted cracker. Not your typical Oktoberfest beer. Reviewed - A Brew With You, Ep. 55

(Bottle) Reddish amber colour with dense big, lasting, off-white head. Malty nose with treacle-toffee, dried fruit, figs, crisp-bread, wort and caramel. Malty taste with notes of treacle-toffee, dried fruit, wort, caramel, a slightly sharp malt profile and a finish with a mild bitterness and a slight acidity. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. A bit sharp and unbalanced, but decently drinkable. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Dark copper color. Biscuity toasty aroma. Some sweetness. Flavor has sweetness, lots of bready grain. Caramel notes. Not a Festbier, more like a Marzen.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a foamy beige head. Aroma of caramel, sweet fruits, bread, and roasted malts. Has a nice balance between sweet malts and bitter hops. A dry smooth finish. Not too bad.

Bottle says enjoy by 19 dec 2016. Rated on 1/25/17. Aromas of toffee, honey, caramel, and some wet leaves. Taste is caramel, toffee, mineral water, and slight toast. honey, wet leaves in the finish. More toast and wet leaves in the after taste. I imagine it hasn’t fallen off too much.

Aroma is deep bread crust, rich and robust..... one of the most impressive examples of malt depth in aroma. Appearance is dark copper crystal clear with bubbly head that dissipates slowly Taste is real deep complex malt, bright bread crust. A bit of tangy hopping but this is malt forward. An excellent example of the difference between malty and sweet.... as well as the toasty bread crust flavor found in well done lagers. Palate is creamy and smooth. Medium light and very soft. Overall a world class beer IMO. More of an Oktoberfest than Festbier. That said, maybe the best Oktoberfest I have had.... German or American. I got this six pack for $5.99... unbelievable. A near perfect example of one of the hardest to brew styles.
