An amber beer with a thick, but disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw and caramel. I find it quite mainstream. joergen (29180) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 7, 2007

Bottled (thanks drewbeerme!). Amber colour, beige small head. Aroma is malts, hops, some yeast and vegetables. Flavour is malts, hops, some vegetables and a bit earthyness. Clean for it’s style, but otherwise not so exciting.

Tap at Barcade. I really enjoyed this beer. I think, though, that this beer style is a bit undervalued by many raters. Obviously this doesn’t match up against an imperial stout. This beer was well-balanced between the hops and malts and had a smooth finish. Pleasant aftertaste. Great sessioner. chriso (21656) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 28, 2006
Bottle, courtesy of Jim Busch, July 2006. Not one of my favourite Victory beers, but this isn’t really one of my favourite styles. Golden colour. There’s a good depth of toasty, bready malt here and hints of grassy hop. Mellow mouthfeel. In other words much as you’d expect from an Oktoberfest. So pretty authentic but not entirely to my taste.
