An amber beer with a thick, but disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw and caramel. I find it quite mainstream. joergen (29994) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JAN 7, 2007

Bottled (thanks drewbeerme!). Amber colour, beige small head. Aroma is malts, hops, some yeast and vegetables. Flavour is malts, hops, some vegetables and a bit earthyness. Clean for it’s style, but otherwise not so exciting. omhper (26207) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JAN 4, 2002

Tap at Barcade. I really enjoyed this beer. I think, though, that this beer style is a bit undervalued by many raters. Obviously this doesn’t match up against an imperial stout. This beer was well-balanced between the hops and malts and had a smooth finish. Pleasant aftertaste. Great sessioner. Tap at Victory, Downington PA - 25/05/12.
Dark amber with white head.
Sweetish malts at the fore of the nose, backed up by a little hops and straw.
Taste follows nose with a little fruit and a puff of smoke in the mix.
Medium bodied decent representation of the style.
