I poured it from the bottle into a glass. It pours a reddish color with a tan head. The aroma is hay, bread, and some sweetness. The taste is grass, squash, bread, and sweet malt. The palate is smooth and a bit thin. It’s sessionable and would pair well with bar food. weitz15 (595) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 17, 2017
Light amber pour, spiced aroma. Medium malted body, with a light watery finish. kopher (593) - New York, USA - OCT 17, 2006
(12 oz. bottle - "Enjoy By: Feb 24 07") Pours light brownish/reddish like apple cider with a few bubbles on top. Smells like rotten apples. Taste is much better, though a bit too sweet. Lots of sweet fruit and honey and a touch of bitter-sweet hoppiness, maybe. Malty. Smooth but a bit too thin. Good light carbonation. Nice finish. OnTheTrail (582) - Virginia, USA - SEP 11, 2015
Pours copper. Aroma is toast, honey cookies. Taste is caramel, toffee, toast. A wisp of hops. Bottom line - smooth, elegant, balanced lager. beerhugger (572) - Oshawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 26, 2005
Nice easy-drinking beer. Standard amber body with some fresh citrus hops and sweet caramel malt aromas Malty with a touch of citrus and yeast in the medium mouthfeel. Nice aftertaste with a light bitter touch.

On tap, thanks richlikebeer, melikebeer too. Aroma of sweet malts and caramel. Poured a dark copper with a nice off white head. Flavor was good, caramel, toffee, toasted malt. Palate was medium bodied and finished well. Good beer for football. Skeegle (566) - Maryland, USA - FEB 20, 2007
Failed to impress me with this beer. The taste was pretty bland, it tasted like a watered down lager, which is to say, not that flavorful. Maybe too much carbonation. chimpscampee (566) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 17, 2007
Bit too sweet for me but underrated. Toasty. cereal malts overmatch the hops.Oily. Finish and aftertaste is a strength. Clove spice is about right. Light and a bit watery but a nice session beer. Dorkenstein (564) - - JAN 25, 2017
Bottle says enjoy by 19 dec 2016. Rated on 1/25/17. Aromas of toffee, honey, caramel, and some wet leaves. Taste is caramel, toffee, mineral water, and slight toast. honey, wet leaves in the finish. More toast and wet leaves in the after taste. I imagine it hasn’t fallen off too much. Shot (563) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - AUG 29, 2015
Pours a luminous red with a thin fizzy head that dissipates to a thin, clumpy lace. Aromas of caramel and spice. Flavors are caramel, brown sugar, roasted malts, spice and biscuit. Slight herbal tones. Dry finish. Thin, highly carbonated mouthfeel. Not very memorable.
