COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

Bottle says enjoy by 19 dec 2016. Rated on 1/25/17. Aromas of toffee, honey, caramel, and some wet leaves. Taste is caramel, toffee, mineral water, and slight toast. honey, wet leaves in the finish. More toast and wet leaves in the after taste. I imagine it hasn’t fallen off too much.

Shot (497) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - AUG 29, 2015
Pours a luminous red with a thin fizzy head that dissipates to a thin, clumpy lace. Aromas of caramel and spice. Flavors are caramel, brown sugar, roasted malts, spice and biscuit. Slight herbal tones. Dry finish. Thin, highly carbonated mouthfeel. Not very memorable.

gpekar (496) - Florida, USA - SEP 1, 2008
Poured a clear copper color with a tall foamy tan head. There was a light amount of carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. There was a light fruit aroma mixed with a bit of a sweet aroma from the malt. There was a nice smooth mellow flavor of the sweet malt with just a hit of hops on the finish. This was an easy drinking beer, but not very special.

SHANER4 (495) - Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 9, 2007
Poured orangish copper color with little head that faded to nothing. Had a light malt aroma with average oktoberfest taste. I can’t get onboard with these oktoberfest beers. They all taste to similar and watered down. This version is no different and is quite tasteless. NOT IMPRESSED

Larry_Duffman (486) - - OCT 16, 2015
I poured it from the bottle into a glass. It pours a reddish color with a tan head. The aroma is hay, bread, and some sweetness. The taste is grass, squash, bread, and sweet malt. The palate is smooth and a bit thin. It’s sessionable and would pair well with bar food.

njnut (486) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - NOV 14, 2015
Poured a nic copper but with minimal head and no retention. Aromas of Carmel malts, wet bread. Sweet on the nose and taste. A bit thin in the mouth. Taste is bready as is the finish. Typical of the style.

Jabic (483) - Plainfield, Vermont, USA - OCT 11, 2012
Ar: Deep caramel, sweet apples, some toasty malt, hay. Ap: Orange-amber, crystal-clear - small off-white head with moderate retention and a light wisp of foam. T: Toasted malt, a touch of sweetness - lots of apple and a solid grip of medium caramel - bitterness is medium-low - apple tannin lingers in finish, somewhat harsh. P: Medium body with medium-high carbonation - finish is dry. O: This beer seems like it could be nice, but the apple flavor just dominates and gets in the way.
