Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of toasted malts, caramel, spices, and a very subtle hop aroma. Dissapointed in the flavor on this one after the aroma. Very little flavor of toasted malts, caramel, and a little spices. Flavor dies away pretty quickly. I was hoping for something better. pforei (338) - USA - OCT 5, 2007
Copper. Good malt bready/caramel aroma with some hops. Taste is moreso malt. Well balanced. milewide (2260) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 13, 2007
Hopless compared to most Victory brews. Amber color. Medium body. Sweet flavor, with malt. surffisher (198) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - OCT 18, 2007
Pours bright, clear orange-red, with a tiny head that disappears quickly. Aroma of lightly toasted malts and and some grapey fruitiness. Mild sweet malty flavor with some white grape notes, honey and a moderately dry finish. Light-to-medium bodied with low (almost flat) prickly carbonation. Pretty easy drinking and reasonably true to style, but not exceptional.

Not bad. Pours out a nice orange color with a small beige head. aroma is malty and rather sweet. as was the flavor. A little to sweet for my liking, but over all not a bad beer at all. Ron (3998) - Rochester, New York, USA - DEC 29, 2007
First sniff of the aroma took me back to memories of Genny lager. This did have something sweet added to it. Poured Light brown with a tan head. Sweet caramel in the lager with a hop ending. jb (3270) - Rochester, New York, USA - JAN 5, 2008
Noticed a Victory at our local store I hadn’t rated before and scooped it quickly. Orange-ish color, thin head, that familiar malty aroma. Molasses palate, sugary, not much more going on. Typical Oct. biznizness (1128) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 25, 2008
Thought they would really nail this style, but not so much. It’s pretty good, but certainly not an upper-tier Oktoberfest. Vas19 (313) - Maryland, USA - MAR 23, 2008
On tap at brewery. Copper color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is malty with a bit of honey. Flavor is woody and malty with a finish that reminds me of fish bait. Not quite as disgusting as that sounds but just average.
