COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Seductively smooth, this medium-bodied amber beauty is akin to the great Oktoberfest beers of Munich. All German hops make this lager true to style. Patient cold aging makes it wonderfully smooth. In bottles September through February

Copper. Good malt bready/caramel aroma with some hops. Taste is moreso malt. Well balanced.

Hopless compared to most Victory brews. Amber color. Medium body. Sweet flavor, with malt.

Not bad. Pours out a nice orange color with a small beige head. aroma is malty and rather sweet. as was the flavor. A little to sweet for my liking, but over all not a bad beer at all.

First sniff of the aroma took me back to memories of Genny lager. This did have something sweet added to it. Poured Light brown with a tan head. Sweet caramel in the lager with a hop ending.

Noticed a Victory at our local store I hadn’t rated before and scooped it quickly. Orange-ish color, thin head, that familiar malty aroma. Molasses palate, sugary, not much more going on. Typical Oct.

Thought they would really nail this style, but not so much. It’s pretty good, but certainly not an upper-tier Oktoberfest.

On tap at brewery. Copper color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is malty with a bit of honey. Flavor is woody and malty with a finish that reminds me of fish bait. Not quite as disgusting as that sounds but just average.

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2009 Thinly bodied and poorly extracted malt. Not the most refined Märzen out there, sadly.

Pours with a substantial head. Glowing orange/amber color (rather eerie), light in body and flavor. Good malt presence, hint of caramel, but mostly an average concoction.

Thanks Pabobcat for the brew. Copper hue with a frothy tan head and good lace. Aroma is malty with hints of caramel, nuts, dark bread, slighty piney hops, earthy yeast and minor spice. Smooth and balanced taste with a of toasted malt and aromatic hop tone. Some fruitiness and spice also detected. Thin to medium-bodied with a soft mouthfeel. A good fest beer but nothing outstanding.
