Bottle: Poured a golden hazy beer with a medium head with average retention. Aroma is quite spicy, real funky spices have been added in here. Taste is quite sweet at the beginning with what seems like wheat and then spices kick in providing a nice ending. I must say this is quite spectacular. Body is above average but carbonation is bit weak. Overall, I would say I very much enjoyed this fine beer.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2006 Sweet, sweet nectar. I had a dream that I kissed an angel, and this is what her lips tasted like. One sip of Golden Monkey puts a big grin on my face every time. Do not pass this brew up.

Bitter flavoured ale, has an almost sour aftertaste which diminishes fairly quickly. Color is a slightly cloudy gold. Pours a minimal amount of head with very light lace. Spicing is strong but finishes nicely. Truly Unique

Bottle Pours a n unfiltered pale golden with a little white head and slight lacing. Aroma is light grain and thick, slightly sweet and yeasty or foggy. Quite meadly of flavors. Spice, slight cloves, apricots and the imediate aftertaste is a bit hoppy as the ABV kicks in. Barley noticeable for nearly %10. Feel is thick, smooth, plenty of carbonation, noticed mostly at the end. Odd that this doesnt show itself much on the initial pour. Full, complex, busy and good.

Adjust your expectations!! This is a very unusual beer and you need to be ready for it. The spicing is very intense but with a little (very little) accommodation the mature taster will love it. Not for food, not for piling up a case next to you to watch the hockey game -- but amazing taste, finish and lingering warmth. Spectacular.

Golden yellow body with a moderate white head. Floral sweet aroma. Sweetness balanced with sourness and a bit of bitterness. A cery complex beer.

Rich cloudy golden color with small head and fine bubbles. Creamy nose with subtle spice, orangel, marshmallow with sweet sour nose. Creamy mouthfeel, sweet/sour finsih with spices of coriander, cinnamon, nutmeg and a great malty character. Very nice!

A clean yellow golden color. Strong aroma, the alcohol is in there. This is a nice strong tripel with a fruitiness to it. The spices are underlying and do not overwhelm. A nice belgian style brew.

Wow! is all I can say about this beer. The aroma of this wheat beer knocks me off my feet. Wheat beers ordinarily dont have the tastiest of aromas but this one is great. The unfiltered style of this beer is visible immediately after the first pour. If you want to compare this to a mainstream beer it would be like blue moon but much better. It knocked me off my feet when i realized that this beer has 9.5% alcohol. You would not know at all! This beer is probably not the best beer Ive had but holds a special place in my heart. The wheatyness of this beer is very apparent and other slight spices of east come out as you drink deeper and longer. I would drink a bathtub full if I wouldnt die after the first six pack!
