Enchanting and enlightening, this golden, frothy ale boasts an intriguing herbal aroma, warming alcohol esters on the tongue and light, but firm body to finish. Exotic spices add subtle notes to both the aroma and flavor. Strong, sensual and satisfying.

So, I needed a new mojo-boosting beer for the UConn-WVU football game. Victory Monkey! Can’t have a better sign than to drink a Victory Monkey before the big game!
Well, UConn lost, but the beer is good. It’s hazy golden-orange with a small head that was gone in an instant. It had a lot of noticeable little floaties in it. It has a great, albeit subdued floral aroma with hints of citrus, spice and yeast. The flavor is slightly hoppy with a subdued spice. The alcohol taste is present, but it’s very well balanced. It has a dry, floral finish. The 9.5 will get you popped pretty quick, which is good for taking a little sting out of the UConn loss

Pours a hazy golden orange, with a nice white head. Aroma is bananas, lemon, and awesome "fruit snacks". Taste is banana, Vanilla and cloves, also grapes and similar to a hefe-weiss with a tad more alcohol. Very fruitful and flavorful. Wow, I love you Victory SpringsLicker is my Hero! :) Thanks Man!

A belgin triple with a lot of flavor. One of victory’s best beers, and victory brews some of the best beers in this country. Its a Belgin Spiced Beer that tastes great. Its double weight, gets you drunk. Its called Golden Monkey! What more do you want in a beer?

Pretty dark for the style. Average Head. Very little lacing. Yawn.. The nose is lovely. Pears, nail polish, lemon and caramel. The nose is very herbal as well. This is a sharp, fruity and very alive Triple. Very spicy with coriander, orange peel and very fruity with mango, pineapple and green apples. Dry finish. Alcohol hidden very well. This is a great take on the style.

Bottle. Hazy light-amber/orange beer with almost no head. Belgian clove and fruit in the aroma. Good flavor - after too many triples that are just too sweet, this balances nicely. Sweet malt, orange peel, some spice, very light hop bitterness. A certain richness to it to go with an alcohol warming.

This is a truely great brew. Light hazy orange color with a tall white head. Lots of fruity spice with some floral hops in the aroma, a well balanced taste and a sweet citrusy finish.

Extremely powerful, and has some decent qualities. In the end though, I must admit, this is my least favorite Victory beer. My complaints involve the taste. When you take your first sip, it’s an orgy of spices on your tongue and drinking this beer (at least to me) becomes tedious after a couple more sips. More abbey-ish attributes and less of an exotic allure can make this beer more representive of Victory’s supremacy of microbrews.

On tap. Only had a couple sips, but I think this is not a bad example of a Tripel. Very nicely done. I have to get me some of this

Overall appearance is a little disappointing. Pours a nice head followed by an unmistakeable aroma of a belgian-inspired brew. Sweet and spicy with a generous palate that warms you as it goes down. The high alcohol content puts you in that place you want to be. Any beer lover needs to experience the satisfaction of golden monkey.

Bottle: Aroma is all malt and alcohol. Real fruity smell with a slight alcohol nose. Pours a hazy gold with a decent white head that lasts a minute or so. Lots of sediment. Very, very sweet. Slight alcohol taste with a slight burn, but mostly nothing but sweetness. The sweetness intensifies in the finish and then you get a slight alcohol taste. A little cloying. Sweet aftertaste lingers for a while. A little too sweet for me. As it warms, I'm not sure if the sweetness decreases in intensity or my taste buds have gotten used to it. Not too bad, but not particularly great. Better tripels out there.
