COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The pure water we receive from the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek that begins its journey to us just under 14 miles from where we brew with it. Well be celebrating this water (insert your lite beer joke here) with our anniversary beer, Headwaters Pale Ale, due to be released February 15, 2011. Now, considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, weve had a fair amount of latitude in paying homage to water in our beer. So, weve played all of our cards deftly, bringing the hops, malt and yeast in harmony, with our great local water as the conductor in Headwaters Pale Ale.

[email protected] Orange amber, clear. Malty caramelly, slight nutty foresty piney nose. Med bodied, super smooth, almost silky. Green forest in the finish. Really like the texture, served just at a good fridge++ temp to keep it soft. Clean, victory- malty, bit boring flavourwise.

Bottle in pint glass from Downtown Discount Beverage. Aroma is strong bready malt with floral, herbal, musky-resinous hops. Appearance is clear gold with orange tinge, nice sparkle with virtually no head and mild lacing. Taste is nice mix of bitter and sweet, slightly citrusy, metallic, with corn chip finish which is long. Palate is light bodied with thin texture and slightly overcarbonated. Overall, a lot of positives here and very enjoyable to drink.

12 oz. bottle into a tulip. Best by 10/29/15. A: Dark gold almost brown pour. Looks like a watered down porter ( in a good way) Small coarse beige head. Streaming bubbles quickly die down. Low retention and average lacing. S: Pungent earthy hop smell dominates. Smells English. T: Stiff piney/woody bitterness at the start, balancing toward the finish with a faint malt sweetness. Lots of character. Tastes a bit more American. M: Medium body with maybe a bit below average carbonation. Light resin on the medium short finish. O: Good pale ale that seems to straddle the fence between English and American styles. Widely available in NC and priced at $9/6 means this is well worth an occasional buy.

Aroma is sweet orange and biscuity malts with slight bread dough underneath. Taste is floral, citrusy and some kind of melon sweetness in there also. Medium bodied and easy to drink. A classic straight out of the box good ol pale ale. Good!

Can from Meditrina. Bright clear copper with lasting head and lace. Pine and spice aroma with a touch of caramel and grains. Toasted caramel sweetness roasted nuts cereal mild fruit with piney spicy bitterness that lingers. Medium body medium carbo. Classic American pale ale and definitely not to be confused with an IPA. Excellent.

Dissetante e rinfrescante, sessionabile!
