COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The pure water we receive from the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek that begins its journey to us just under 14 miles from where we brew with it. Well be celebrating this water (insert your lite beer joke here) with our anniversary beer, Headwaters Pale Ale, due to be released February 15, 2011. Now, considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, weve had a fair amount of latitude in paying homage to water in our beer. So, weve played all of our cards deftly, bringing the hops, malt and yeast in harmony, with our great local water as the conductor in Headwaters Pale Ale.

Can. Clear bronze with a small head. Very pleasant hop flavour with herbs also floating around to produce a quite unusual and distinctive taste. A pleasant surprise and an unusual beer really worth trying.

Well made pale Ale. Not too malty or sweet, lovely upfront aroma and delicate pallet make this a super easy drinking beer.

Can at home. Aroma is biscuity malt, soft stone fruits, peach, buttery notes, caramel, toffee, mild hops. Flavour is light sweet and moderate bitter. Body is medium. Maltier than I expected with some buttery notes.

5.2%ABV. American Pale Ale. Poured out deep gold. 8SRm. Nose is resinous, spicy and a little funky. Mouthfeel is light. Palate is malty and solid to be able to enjoy the hops that follow. Not a ponderous malt base. Light and beery. Hops are resinous with epoxy but really brief! So the finish is light, beery and clean.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2016 Bottle. Pours an orange color with white head. Earthy, herbal, caramel aromas. Caramel, earthy, herbal, malty, slight toffee flavors. Very caramel and herbal heavy beer - maybe a touch old? Not a huge fan.
