The pure water we receive from the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek that begins its journey to us just under 14 miles from where we brew with it. Well be celebrating this water (insert your lite beer joke here) with our anniversary beer, Headwaters Pale Ale, due to be released February 15, 2011. Now, considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, weve had a fair amount of latitude in paying homage to water in our beer. So, weve played all of our cards deftly, bringing the hops, malt and yeast in harmony, with our great local water as the conductor in Headwaters Pale Ale.

Poured from a 12oz bottle and served in a pint glass. This beer has a very pleasant nose with a crisp citrusy aroma. It pours a dark golden color. It tastes slightly malty with a clean aftertaste that matcher the aroma. Overall its not a bad beer, but not likely a beer I will go out of my way to have again.

355ml bottle. Medium gold, white head. The aroma is quite malty, citrusy hop notes, caramel, spruce, something somewhat robust or fecal, apricots. Dry, medium body and bitterness, balanced CO2. Malty taste, a bit of hops, yeast, caramel, earthy, spruce. Like a well hopped lager? (2012-05-13)

Pours a nice amber with a medium offwhite lasting head, with very good head retention and lacing to the end. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus, orange fruity esters fill the senses as well as some good citrus piney hops. Taste is caramel malt, fruity citrus notes, some yeast and citrus piney hops. Palate is a medium body with good carbonation. Finish is sweet caramel malt, fruity citrus flavor, some slight orange peel, ending with some good citrus piney hops bitterness for balance. Overall a very good, balanced and tasty solid all around Pale ale. enjoyed this.

On tap at the victory hall in philadelphia. Clear copper. Muted aroma of citrus, orange, spicy hops. Zesty, coriander, piney, grassy. Spicy to the point of being a saison. Mildly bitter aftertaste, mostly the zesty spice lingers. strange enough that Im not even sure I got the right beer. The spiciness is overpowering the more I have. Quite off putting, almost feels like a mistake.

Amazing! Chose this one because my next homebrew is a pale ale, and I couldn't have made a better choice. The aroma is a little misleading- you think it's going to have a very bitter taste, but it has a great balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft to pint. Looks good; coppery with nice head. Smells fresh and golly. Tastes pretty good, especially for a PA. Feel is average. Good stuff.

bottle - Pours hazy orange with a one finger head. The aroma is of grapefruit hops with slight herbals. Its moderately bitter with a subdued malt profile and a medium body. Its pretty good but I guess I expected a little more from Victory.

A solid draft beer. Reminds me of house beers from Iron Hill Brewery. Slightly subdued aroma and carbonation. Medium amber color. Dry, hoppy mouth feel. Slightly bitter finish. Good, not great.

UPDATED: JUN 20, 2012 20 oz mug pour off tap. golden copper in the glass, scant head. Hoppy nose. Assertive hops on the tongue balanced with a good malt backbone. Hops become more prominent on the finish but not IPAish. Nicely balanced and drinkable.

Nose is bright citrus. Really nice smell here. Taste is nicely muted hops with some carbonation. Finish is clean. Very good pale ale.
