COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The pure water we receive from the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek that begins its journey to us just under 14 miles from where we brew with it. We’ll be celebrating this water (insert your lite beer joke here) with our anniversary beer, Headwaters Pale Ale, due to be released February 15, 2011. Now, considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, we’ve had a fair amount of latitude in paying homage to water in our beer. So, we’ve played all of our cards deftly, bringing the hops, malt and yeast in harmony, with our great local water as the conductor in Headwaters Pale Ale.

Ale bionda ed erbacea, speziata e luppolata al naso, amarognola al palato. Poco intensa e di corpo lieve, ma per nulla spiacevole. Dissetante.

Ok not great. Malt is the main flavor with hint of citrus. Easy drinking but not much hop punch. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught. Pours a hazy amber with a mostly fading off white head. Aroma of orange, biscuits, pine, caramel. Taste is of pine, earthy, woody, bread. Oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation.

Bottle. Nice floral piney aroma. Amber. Thin head. Surprisingly balanced, though noticeable hop not too overpowering which is good. Decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz can from Binnys in Highland Park. Best by 1/19/16 date. Orange pour. Almost no head. Aroma has sweet oranges, light pine, light grapefruit. Taste is sweet malts, grapefruit, pine, maybe some peach when squinting. Light to medium bodied. Finishes sweetly malty with some tangy fruit. Shrug? Victory seldom impresses, and did not here (although like that they are canning). 13.2

For a Pale, it’s really pretty good. Aroma is nice and more than one would expect... notes of citrus and toasty malt. Flavor is a smooth but medium maltiness with plenty of citrusy hop bite. Finish is only slightly bitting but refreshing. nice.

(bottle - 12 oz) Copper pour with a thick white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma with a light malt backbone. Flavor is really well balanced. Good bitter and fruity hops with a light sweet malt end. Mildly bitter finish. [9/27/15]

Bottled. Pours clear amber with an average off-white head. Aroma of citrus, caramel notes of flowery and piney hops. Sweet flavor that ends up dry and decent bitter. Light to medium bodied, watery to oily texture and soft carbonation. A nice Pale Ale indeed. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
