COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The pure water we receive from the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek that begins its journey to us just under 14 miles from where we brew with it. We’ll be celebrating this water (insert your lite beer joke here) with our anniversary beer, Headwaters Pale Ale, due to be released February 15, 2011. Now, considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, we’ve had a fair amount of latitude in paying homage to water in our beer. So, we’ve played all of our cards deftly, bringing the hops, malt and yeast in harmony, with our great local water as the conductor in Headwaters Pale Ale.

Excellent pale ale. Knock the edge off the hop devil and you have this one. Great color and flavor, grape fruity hop, a little citrusy and floral, but not to the point where it gets annoying, good session beer.

Tessic (1206) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 6, 2012
This pale ale poured a nice golden colour with a medium sized, white, foamy head. Very small amount of lacing. To the nose there are scents of citrus hops, cut grass and pineapple. First sip was very hoppy/bitter with cirtus hops attacking the tastebuds. Finish is thin with citrus and bread flavours lingering.

Alla mi moglie garba da morire, e io gliela compro volentieri perchè penso che il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimo; bella agrumata e amarognola il giusto.

Rated from notes taken 5 Jan 2013 and 6 Aug 2011 -- A very nice Pale Ale, that I would not mind drinking on a regular basis. Enough to make you want to drink it, restrained enough to allow you to drink several.

Draft at HopCat GR - pours a transparent orange thin tan head . Faint pine and mild citrus aroma . Palettes light and easy drinking . Mild piney flavor , not bad . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Big hoppy brew and nutty flavours. Chewy to the end. Sweetish and good to the last drop.

Nose: Grapefruit, lemon, orange, and caramel as it warms Appearance: brilliant amber with a soapy and sudsy head that lingers Taste: mostly a mellow sweet, with buttery caramel malts bubblegum and bittersweet citrus that’s clean with a touch of a caramel and bread crust finish

The beer poured a hazed dark golden orange with a light tan head that lasted a while. Aroma is honey, grass, citrus and weak caramel. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavour is light grapefruit, grainy malt, and notes of light sweetness.

talon1117 (1152) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAY 24, 2012
The pour is a clear, orangey-amber color with a moderately full, white, pillowy, frothy head which settled to a very thin froth and leaves tight, lace rings. The nose is toasted grain and caramel, very floral, faint citrus, and slight resins. The flavor is slightly better with more toasted caramel, toasted grains still, slightly resinous, still floral, and some citrus. The palate is lively, light to moderate, and a bit watery. The finish is moderately bitter, resinous, and full of lasting grain notes. Fairly generic APA, drinkable and just enough sweetness to balance to the prominent bitterness.

Boliv (1150) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 5, 2011
Bottle marked "enjoy by 7.8.11." Pours clear bright orange and lively with a medium foamy eggshell head. The aromas are sweet papaya and guava, moco moco (a Bolivian fruit), sugar, and grass. NIce tropical fruity notes here. The flavor is sweet funky malt and fruit, mild bitter grass, and pine; a touch one-dimensional. Very smooth and drinkable. A nice, sessionable beer with great aroma, but whose flavor didn’t quite live up. Still, a solid brew. [624]
