COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The pure water we receive from the East Branch of the Brandywine Creek that begins its journey to us just under 14 miles from where we brew with it. Well be celebrating this water (insert your lite beer joke here) with our anniversary beer, Headwaters Pale Ale, due to be released February 15, 2011. Now, considering that beer is the product of four simple ingredients and the three other than water rely on water for their existence, weve had a fair amount of latitude in paying homage to water in our beer. So, weve played all of our cards deftly, bringing the hops, malt and yeast in harmony, with our great local water as the conductor in Headwaters Pale Ale.

Better than an average pale ale. Light and grassy hop character with a mild orange aroma.

Another average American Pale Ale - bitter with aftertaste. Like other Victory beers better. Wont be drinking again.

Can from Oddbins Mitchell Street Glasgow. #trainbeer! Nose is proper beery hops, not really fruity, just a ton of malt and bittering earthy hops. Taste is equally good: dry, malty, long lasting bitterness. The palate is a let down: overly creamy, overly carbonated, sure to bloat me if I drink more than one. Nevertheless, a decent effort.

From a can , a rather bland aroma, just light grassy hops. On the tongue , there is a nice level of carbonation, with a bitter hop finish

12 ounce bottle. Amber, gold pour with a small rocky beige cap. Nose has earthy toasted malt notes. Flavor is toasted malt. Crisp and flavorful with hints of toasted bread, black tea, almond skins and herbal hops. Malty with a nice hop balance. Very drinkable.

355ml can from Asda. Pours a tangerine amber with a lively white head. Nose is caramel, zesty lemon, pine and some tea leaves. Soft on the palate, light carbonation. Sweet malt first leading into a lemon zesty ice tea flavour, and finishing with some medium pine/grapefruit bitterness. Finished the can in 10 mins, so must have been good !

From can. Pours clear orange/gold. Nose of mango, lychee, pine resin. Taste is forest floor, more tropical fruit, citrus peel, dry foosty finish.
