I know cost shouldn’t factor into it but this is probably the best saison buy around. Big puffy head, slightly bretty, a slight lemon edge. A little on the big side. It will fuck you up. You can pair it with hot dogs at a tailgate or a high end steak. Easily the best American Saison for the money.
Decent Belgian style. Fairly hefty malty body with a big Yeasty taste. A little bit of citrus bite. Decent drinking saison. ZacM612 (748) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - AUG 10, 2017
Hazy golden with a fizzy white head. Aroma of brettanomyces and Belgian yeast. Taste of citrus and pepper. Svesse (8682) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - MAY 25, 2017
(Bottle) Hazy yellow colour with big, frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with grass, apricots, white bread, hay, apples and a touch of incense. Fruity, malty taste with notes of white bread, hay, grass, apricots, apples, citrus, lemon, spicy yeast and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and quite spicy. Nice one. meccahh69lol (284) - New Haven, Connecticut, USA - MAR 10, 2017
So evidently the local store sells drink-by-2014 beers in single bottles and leave them for the fools. Being fools, we thought this one looked pretty and picked it up. Oddly enough, we don’t completely hate it. Though the belgian taste is still there, it’s accompanied by an almost brett-like taste, which to some is like a sour candy and to others like urine. It is possible that there is a beer that is supposed to taste like this, but I would not choose it on purpose. Probably better when it’s not 3 years past the due date, but surprisingly drinkable despite the funky funk. bergstaden (3096) - Røros, NORWAY - FEB 26, 2017

Poured from the tap into a 20 OZ mug at the Taco Mac in Atlanta. The appearance is a clear golden color with a large white head. The aroma is a sweet smell. The flavor has the traditional farmhouse flavor with a slight sour bite. an average saison. PhillyCraft (7582) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 3, 2016
BB backlog, Bottle with and care of Mike, pours a hazy straw gold with 2 finger white head. Aroma of bread malt, lemon peel, pepper, grass, and saison yeast. Taste was most of the same with herbs and other farmhouse notes. Finishes slightly bitter. We enjoyed this one from Victory. drpimento (3714) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 29, 2016
Distance from an older bottle that has been kept chilled . Appearance is a dirty Amber and a nice head of average duration. Aroma is very yeasty, almost Brett like and some caramel malt and wet grain. Flavors like nose, but seems like some oxidation has taken place. Good carbonation in that helps a lot . Still not a bad beer. allmyvinyl (10823) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 15, 2016
