COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Previously known as All Malt Lager (Helles) & V Lager

There was a time when all beer tasted this good. Back when immigrant Brewmasters turned fresh malts and hops into liquid gold. Before big business lessened our precious beer with corn and rice. Having trained in Germany, we thirst for better beer. So, we brew better beer like this crisp, golden, helles-style lager. Brewed with patience from quality German malts and hops, it is a Victory for Your Taste!

Malt: Imported 2 row German malts

Hops: Whole flower German hops

Bottle. Pours a light but bright straw yellow. Very small soapy white head. This one isn’t going to be winning any beauty contests. very aromatic; I could smell it from about two feet away after pouring. Aroma of corn, pears. Wow, this one tastes way better than it looks. Sour apples and...lactose sugar? Maybe. Finishes with lager corn, orchard fruits. Finishes very quickly as well. thicker than most lagers, but still thin enough to be refreshing. Only negative here is the sort of sticky feel in the back of the throat. I can feel this one work its way down. Yea, this is what a lager should be.

16 ounce draft at Winking Lizard Peninsula Ohio. Light white head, Little bit of film on glass. See the carbonation bubbles flowing. Light bodied and golden in color. Taste the grains and sweet. Not much after taste. Overall this is above average and very drinkable for the style. Cheers!

Pours a clear, light golden color, thin ivory head. Nose is pretty subdued, some sweet grainy malts, a faint floral hint. The sweetness persists on the tongue with with a lingering bitterness. Pretty smooth though. A very relaxed beer and a decent take on the style.

From May 2007 I received this in a trade with jwc215...thanks, Joe! This pours from 12oz bottle(best by Jun 19 07) a clear, bubbly straw gold colour with a large head of foam. It settles down after a while but stays for the entire session as a fine layer and there's lacing. The smell hasa pretty hoppy aroma mixed in with some malty tones. The taste on first sip has a nice hoppy presence... I'm getting some lemon zest. Further sips in and there's some non sweetish malt and bread there but they are on the light side. It finishes crisp and clean and makes for a good thirst quencher. The body is light as is the carbonation. I like this one and it has a good German feel to it. Bottom line: This is a good Lager...no bells or whistles, just a good solid Lager. I'd drink it again.

I had it from the bottle. The taste is grain, apple, and honey. It’s a nice and refreshing beer for the hot weather.

12floz bottle, BBD 08.28.2017, $1.50/unit price, pint glass. Here is a clear, golden lager with minimal head like a macro (not great, but it doesn’t matter much). Good authentic bready and earthy aroma. Clean and crisp, this is what I like in a pale lager. Very satisfying flavor of light grains and that is all. Pure simplicity.

Poured light gold. Faint bready aroma. Taste is wheat bread, but dry. Tastes like a slightly better Budweiser. Good entry point for non-craft-beer drinkers.

I think people are being overly critical about this beer. It's the beer at Victory you order for he person at the table who only drinks Bud Light. I think it was a bad idea to rename this beer. V Lager you don't expect much. Helles Lager and people think it's supposed to be something special. Smells a little like apple juice concentrate and honey. Sweet taste with a crisp refreshing mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Good summer/lawn mower beer. If you want something a little more ballsy but in the same spectrum, I'd recommend their Prima Pils. -Mykul

12 ounce bottle. Bright gold color. Small bubbly white head. Crisp, malty nose. Light grainy malt flavor. Slightly sweet and light bodied. Light hop bitterness in finish. Easy drinking. A notch below the traditional German Helles lagers, but good nonetheless.
