Pours a transparent golden yellow with a tight white head. The nose is bready with light notes of dough, mild and soft. herbal grassy hops are well integrated and provide a nice balance. The taste is lightly toasted bread, a touch of peppery spice, caramel malt undertones and some doughy malts as well. The hops provide honey notes, citric hops and a touch of herbal hops with no bitterness at all, just a clean crisp finish on a soft delicate body and gentle carbonation. What an easy drinkable, slightly sweet pilsner! MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 23, 2011
following braumeister. trans gold, thin white head, light effervescence. Nose is sweeter than brau softer malt and more juicy citrus, also a bit more pepper. Not as salty, less assertive and hearty. Amazing cracker profile, bit of grass, lightly earthy and hay-like bitter finish, more soft lemon. Loses to a fresh braumeister. GT (10002) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 18, 2011
Growler thanks to MrChopin. Thank you Ryan for pretending it was kicked before I got back from the grocery store. The pour is a crystal clear light yellow, white bubbles forming. Fairly weak sauce. Aroma is sugar, gummy bear, tart fruits. Taste is crispy, sharp, soapy, grassy, doughy, big sourdough. Palate is crisp, bitter, light sugar, refreshing. Growler shared by MrChopin: Pours a clear bright golden with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a fresh lightly floral grassy hop nose with some mild pale malty sweetness. Starts with a decent fullness and light malty sweetness well-balanced with good authentic German hop character before a drier clean bittersweet finish. A true to style and very drinkable Pilsener. Really nice refreshing pilsner. Light yellow and clear pour. Like all of Victory pilsners, very hoppy with a good amount of cereal throughout. This strikes me as a bit more herbal with a hints of lemongrass. Very refeshing and crisp.
