Pours light yellow with small head. Aroma herbs, pine,a touch of citrus. Taste is herbs with pine, not very heavy on the malt side for a dipa. ABV well hidden. Drinkable and nice, but I was expecting more flavour.

ALLOVATE (2934) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 24, 2016
Unassuming in appearance. Hazy, pastel yellow gold body with fine conditioning lifting up a creamy, dense snow-white foam that holds. Heavy resin, pine needles, nettles, camphor and eucalypt come through strongly on the nose with a little waft of rose water and floral perfume. On the palate the first thought is of lemon cough drops and pear drop candy with a hint of fresh toasted popcorn. Pilsner malt shines through as a lightly toasty and sunny, powdery grain flavour amongst the fruit esters and hops. Nettles and pine resin lift up the moderately bitter finish but what is missing is much of that ABV. Scarily drinkable. Oily and viscous in the swallow. Lengthy lemon drop and perfumed aftertaste. Camphor and eucalypt build as does some gammy fruit like cantaloupe and mango. I could happily quaff this all day. Balanced and reserved for its strength. A unique IIPA. Lovely! Maris (1408) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - JUN 24, 2016
From a 355ml bottle on 24/6/2016. Pours a clear lightish golden with a medium head. The nose is bready, fruity and touch herbal. Take a sip and theres a good dose caramel and biscuity malt, heaps of sweet fruit (orange, peach, pear), and honey, followed by some big lingering, resiny hops. The texture is quite syrupy and the carbonation modest. A very nice DIPA. I think I prefer the Dirt Wolf, but only just.

12 oz bottle with freshness date.

Pours a golden color. Somewhat hazy. Light to medium carbonation. Solid one finger, thick, off-white head. Light retention, good lacing.

Aroma is tropical fruits. Mango, kiwi, who knows what else is in there. I smell aromatic hops, but not bitter hops. I smell caramel and some pepper.

Taste is pretty fruity. Its not too bitter. Sweet to start but bitterness creeps in right at the end with a sticky bitterness that holds its own and lingers on. Still, wouldnt consider this to be overall bitter. I taste those tropical fruits and honeydew melon. I taste some citrus, not a lot.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Finishes slightly bitter. The best thing is, at 9.0% ABV, there is no taste of alcohol on this thing.

Overall, a great DIPA. The alcohol creeps in quick. Oh yeah. Id recommend this. If you find it, try it.

Pours light amber with a small head. Nose shows heavy pine, resinous hops, sweet-smelling clean malt. Flavours include lots more pine and resinous hops. Little else other than the aforementioned heavy, sweet clean malt.
