UPDATED: FEB 9, 2014 Poured into a tulip glass from the bottle. Really pretty light yellow color not really associated with DIPAs. Strange pungent almost cheese like notes, orange/nectarine smells along with pineapple, hay, grassiness and other earthy notes. Super fruity and tangy on the tongue, with everything on the nose making an appearance with just the slightest hint of bitterness on the finish. A beer to stock up and savor over and over. Fantastic.

10/20/2017 (12 fl oz bottle): Grapefruit, floral, and very spicy hop aroma along with honey malt and notes of berries; golden yellow-orange color, cloudy, pillowy head of beige-colored foam, lasting; malty caramel and sweet at first, quite floral and spicy in the middle, hint of honey and cucumber, strong with some alcohol showing, but reserved considering the 9% ABV, citrusy finish alone with flavors of melon and pepper, moderate+ bitterness, balanced and bittersweet overall; medium-full body, very smooth; sharp, yet pleasing, it's been awhile since I have had anything from Victory and this beer was quite good.

Hazy, marmalade color, with white head. Aroma is spicy, with notes of melon rind, alcohol, and fermented pineapple. Taste is booze, biscuit, and a bit of bitter pith. Not the best presentation from these hops. $2.8/12oz

Marstonlad (955) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 15, 2017
Bottle from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. Pours hazy golden with a medium-sized, well lasting head. The aroma is richly hoppy. Citrusy and tropical fruitiness flourish; grapefruit, mango, orange. Taste is heavily bitter; no initial or later malt sweetness, this is pretty much just about the hops. The tropical aspect is fairly prominent. Long slide toward a grapefruit-flavoured, dryish finish. The palate is medium to full bodied and very smooth. Solid DIPA.
