For the love of Hops. Big beer with that IPA hop resin profile I was after. Good length with a solid upfront nose and nice white head when poured. I will be back LazyPyro (2031) - Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 30, 2016
355ml bottle. Clear golden colour with a one finger off-white head. Aroma: fruity malts, hops, pine. Taste: same as the aroma, despite the name it’s the malt that’s most prominent, fruity, some caramel sweetness, hint of liquorice, some bittering hops. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice but not what I was expecting.
No paladar médio amargor e dulçor. Corpo médio/licoroso, baixa/média carbonatação. Final de média duração focado no pinho e amargor crescente, perde um pouco do caramelo/dulçor com a temperatura. Not big hops, but grassy/musky + earth fruits (+ frankly the more interesting for it). Brings to mind Poperings Hommelbier (a good thing). There is a slight twist in the fruit – somewhere between blackcurrant + blackberry – sweetness may also be from malts (caramel, or lovely light pastry-esque (or white baguette bread). Quite drinkable.

I first had this standard eleven years ago. It’s no longer my favorite IPA, but it still is a solid selection. Perhaps it’s just nostalgia. The nose imparts a faint hop, earthy scent. The appearance is brown/amber that looks like a Fest beer. The taste is malty and pine resin; not very citrusy. It does provide a spicy bite on the finish after the initial malt flavor. Personally, I love it more on a nitro pour (I had it at Victory and the Standard Tap in Philly). Cheers!

Rating #1967 2015.09.26 #CraftTakesSeattle Day 3, Beer 68 - Draught at Taphouse Grill. Pours a rich golden, small white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is grapefruity, pine, pastry dough. On the palate, similar citrus and pine zest, mild resin, mild pastry dough malt. Medium bodied and extraordinarily balanced. martythesmarty (407) - SWEDEN - AUG 18, 2016
Draught at twin piga. Pours red with white head. Very hoppy with a Bitter finish. hirigalzkar (3324) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 17, 2016
Draught @ Twin Pigs. Notes of black currant, herbs and grapefruit. Just OK. Hrdygrdymn (8) - Truro, Nova Scotia, CANADA - AUG 9, 2016 does not count
A fine exercise in balance. Full maltiness (but not too sweet) to balance the bitter. Not especially aromatic but very smooth, especially for a 6.7% IPA. Slight hint of liquorice up front with a lingering bitterness in the finish. ManVsBeer (11723) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2016
Keg @ Victorian Craft Beer Café, Halifax. Glowing clear copper-amber with a head. Has a hoppy character with a notable strength and mildish toffee notes in both aroma and taste.
