Bold, spicy and menacingly delicious, this American-hopped India Pale Ale offers an aromatic punch and then follows through with a lasting, full-bodied finish.

On tap poured into a oversized wine glass. a: a nice ruby amber color, 1/4" head with fair retention reduces into a lacing ring. s: a nice floral and pine hop aroma fill the nose, I dont detect citrus t: Good, The floral hops bring a nice bite to the tip of the tounge. Spiceness from citrus and a nice warming heat from the alchohol. m&d: This is a creamy IPA

Bottle@Ohranjyv, Tampere, Finland. Balanced, US style sweet, still distinctive IPA with milky or avocado nuances. Light/medium body with medium/light carbonation. Overall, definitely not the best of its style, still characteristic Victory.

Pours dark amber with medium head. Aroma is citrus, fresh grass, rainy hay, some outhouse, light resin. Taste is fruity, cucumber, citrus, resin, pine, cedar, hay, grass, dark berries, lemon. Very nice and fresh beer with different balanced sides of taste. Superb!

For the love of Hops. Big beer with that IPA hop resin profile I was after. Good length with a solid upfront nose and nice white head when poured. I will be back

355ml bottle. Clear golden colour with a one finger off-white head. Aroma: fruity malts, hops, pine. Taste: same as the aroma, despite the name its the malt thats most prominent, fruity, some caramel sweetness, hint of liquorice, some bittering hops. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice but not what I was expecting.

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2016 mbar escuro de leve turbidez, espuma bege de tima formao e persistncia. Aroma de bastante malte e caramelo, lpulo, pinho em segundo plano. No paladar mdio amargor e dulor. Corpo mdio/licoroso, baixa/mdia carbonatao. Final de mdia durao focado no pinho e amargor crescente, perde um pouco do caramelo/dulor com a temperatura.

Not big hops, but grassy/musky + earth fruits (+ frankly the more interesting for it). Brings to mind Poperings Hommelbier (a good thing). There is a slight twist in the fruit somewhere between blackcurrant + blackberry sweetness may also be from malts (caramel, or lovely light pastry-esque (or white baguette bread). Quite drinkable.

I first had this standard eleven years ago. Its no longer my favorite IPA, but it still is a solid selection. Perhaps its just nostalgia. The nose imparts a faint hop, earthy scent. The appearance is brown/amber that looks like a Fest beer. The taste is malty and pine resin; not very citrusy. It does provide a spicy bite on the finish after the initial malt flavor. Personally, I love it more on a nitro pour (I had it at Victory and the Standard Tap in Philly). Cheers!
