3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This one is full on spicy and hoppy. Not for everyone. Gotta be ok with some backbite and bitterness.
Aroma is full of fresh hops and even some caramel and cotton candy (?). Beautiful reddish brown appearance with a very slight and quickly disappearing head and little lacing. It’s clear for the most part.
It’s a bit hoppy for my taste and the alcohol is really prominent in it. It’s not as balanced as I would like it to be and there are less fruit flavors and more complex hops.
It’s a bit sticky and medium thickness on the tongue and it does have a strong hop aftertaste that actually comes down a bit as the beer gets closer to room temperature bringing out some of the other flavors present.
Overall, it’s solid. Especially if you are a hop fiend. I’ve really started to enjoy IPA’S in the last year but this one is still a bit on the bitter end for me. I will stick with a few others and try some new ones before I would get this again. Not that it’s bad in any way. It’s good. Just not what I am looking for in my IPA.
This is without doubt one of my favorite IPA’s. Of course just about everything from Victory is really good, so it’s to be expected.

Nice maltiness, caramel, some toast, hops faded away, some pine, herbal note. Moderate to light sweetness, light bitterness. Drinkable, but far from frssh. explosivedog (1614) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 10, 2017
355ml bottle. Pours red brown. Strawberry, caramel, orange peel, grapefruit, pepper, little herbal. Nice. beern (198) - Alabama, USA - OCT 4, 2017
Pours amber-whiskey colored and mostly translucent with a one finger off white head with good retention and an aroma of citrus. Tastes of malt and the hops give a wood/oak character with mild bitterness. It has a strong medium body with moderate carbonation. The malt tastes of slightly sweet caramel. It's warming and complex. I prefer an IPA with a strong malt backbone. This is complex, well balanced and very good. guitartown (211) - SPAIN - SEP 28, 2017

For only a single IPA its a real kick in the teeth. It has the rich malt backbone usually reserved for doubles, and a bitter hop presence that is growing on me with every sip. Not bad, nothing special. rumore (765) - Rimini, ITALY - SEP 24, 2017
From the tap at 1516 Brewing, Vienna, Austria. Pours light amber, fairly transparent with medium grain white foam. Aroma is citrusy and resinous. Body is average with good carbonation. Taste is bitter, but without exceeding, and with good base of malt sweetness underneath. Finish is long and bitter. weordie (1400) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - SEP 3, 2017
Copper with a foamy head. Aroma is mainly malt. Malty taste too, I'm sure it's past it's best. MarcinG (1003) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - AUG 24, 2017

12floz bottle, BBD: 08.21.2017, ~$1.75 unit price. Appears amber in color with one-finger of head in my nonic glass. Smells like candy - caramel and some cherry-berry (my terminology). There is not much to critique here, this is just a solid malty IPA - pine and caramel blend together very well over a fullish medium-body.
