5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
UPDATED: JUL 4, 2012 An amazing take on an IPA. I smell citrus and spicy floral hops with the sweet malt in the background. I also get that unique potent hop grapefruit smell that you can only get from whole cone hop beers. The taste is spicy hops up front ending with the malt sweetness that gives off some cinnamon brown sugar malt tastes that mixes in with the citrus bitter grapefruit dry hop at the end. The whole flower hops are a unique twist to this IPA and you can tell the difference between this and others of the style. To compare it to another beer I’d say its close to how Sierra Nevada’s Celebration Ale tastes. Excellent beer.
From the tap at 1516 Brewing, Vienna, Austria. Pours light amber, fairly transparent with medium grain white foam. Aroma is citrusy and resinous. Body is average with good carbonation. Taste is bitter, but without exceeding, and with good base of malt sweetness underneath. Finish is long and bitter. weordie (1316) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - SEP 3, 2017
Copper with a foamy head. Aroma is mainly malt. Malty taste too, I'm sure it's past it's best. zutote (9) - - AUG 30, 2017 does not count

12floz bottle, BBD: 08.21.2017, ~$1.75 unit price. Appears amber in color with one-finger of head in my nonic glass. Smells like candy - caramel and some cherry-berry (my terminology). There is not much to critique here, this is just a solid malty IPA - pine and caramel blend together very well over a fullish medium-body.

Slightly hazy amber color with light beige head. Aroma has overripe orange, dried orange rind and caramel malt. Taste has caramel and nutty malts with an orange peel bitterness growing towards the finish and lingering with resiny hop flavor. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it’s a well made, classic IPA. cwill (97) - Parkesburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 5, 2017
Hazy dark orange pour with a thick creamy head that leaves a ton of lacing. Aromas of pine and sweet citrus, grapefruit hops and spice. The taste is intense following the nose with a hint of piney, grass bitterness, spice and a sweet malty backbone that still takes a backseat to the hops. Silky smooth and creamy mouth feel. Beer is wonderfully balanced. I love to sip and savor this one. Absolutely a world class IPA in my book.

Sötét borostyán szín, közepes, nem tartós fehér hab. Mézes, komlós illat. Közepesen keserű komlós íz, némi karamellizált cukorral ízesítve. Ízlett, de nem nőtt túl az átlagos ipa sörökön.
