Thanks to GT2 for bringing a growler for oteyj and I. Clear gold pour with a big fluffy white head. Nose of big sourdough, peppery hop, grass, lemon, and touches of sweet apple. Flavor brings more outstanding lemon and grass, increased herbal presence of rosemary and sage, even piney notes. Crisp and refreshing. Superb.

Courtesy of GT2. Typical pilsener pour with an excellent white head. Fluffy with great retention. Excellent spicy and floral notes with very clean bready sweetness and crisp citrus. Medium body withfluffy carbonation. This is a delicious rendition of the style, an amazing beer in its own right, and I could drink whole growlers at at time.

GT (10001) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 3, 2012
Day 1 and Day 4 on tap at Victory. Day 1: 360 lace on effervescent straw. Muted honey sugar nose. Taste is ultra sharp, grassy, fresh doughy with no hints of butter or malty earthiness. Perfect sharpness. Ridiculous palate. Holy crap. 7/4/8-9/5/16.

Day 4: Thicker 360 lacing. Nose is fresh apple and a bit sweet cidery. Taste is slightly sweet apple, powerful grass. Mild lavender and soapy hope. Less impressive than Day 1. Less intense hoppiness, hints of cidery and soapy off flavors. Pretty hard to beat the Day 1 which is a superlative Czech style pils. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I honestly think this beer tastes the same as all the other ones in the pils sampler. Maybe I should become more sophisticated or at least save my money for the better darker beer here.

Leafs93 (2305) - Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 26, 2012
Both pour clear gold with small white head. 1st day aroma was strong citrus and grass with a hint of bread. Taste as light bitters with a crisp finish. 4th day was more pronounced citrus with a earthy undertone. Taste was a little less bitter. Also a crisp finish. Both were solid.

Draught at the BrewPub: DAY 1: Aroma of hops, dirt, Earth, husks, grain, and dust. Poured pale yellow/gold in color with a small, white head that lasted throughout. Slightly hazy. Sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and light to medium bitter. Tastes of Pils malts, noble hops, grain, grass, and slight wood. Light to medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Slightly sweet, medium bitter, Pils malt, hops, grass, grain finish is dry. 6/4/7/4/14=3.5 DAY 4: Aroma of Pils malt, grass, and grain. Poured pale yellow/gold in color with a medium-sized, creamy, dense, white head that lasted throughout. Slightly hazy. Sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of Pils malt, hops, grass, grain, slight wood, and some resin. Light to medium body. Lightly dry texture. Soft to average carbonation. Pils malt, hop, slight wood, grass finish is clean, smooth, lightly sweet, medium bitter, and lightly dry. 5/4/7/4/14= 3.4

MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - FEB 11, 2012
Missenhardt day 1 - similarly effervescent as dietmannsweiler, head even more homogeneous paper white. Nose is creamier, softer, grain less than brau but more than diet, less dough, more vitamin c, closer to prima, lightly floral and soapy. Flavor is more hop, front palate shows heavy citrus, oily and more resinous than either before, grain and vitamin c through the end. Not as dry a finish, more mineral though, more controlled but unfortunately less expressive. 859417

Missenhardt day 4 - same color as day 1, patchy homogeneous white head, slower bubbles. Softest of them all, highest carbonation as well, almost muting. Profile has lowest vitamin c so far, grain lower than miss 1, more dusty hay, grass, little egg, nose, mid-palate resin elevates it above miss 1, lingering resin, ultra dry finish, bit metallic, grainy, and tons of oily hops. More expressive than miss 1. 8410518

egajdzis (6673) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 9, 2012
Golden color with a medium white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of the 1st harvest day was more toasty, toffee, with light citrus and grass. The 4th harvest day smelled citrusy, floral and lighter toast. The taste on the 1st day was more grassy and bitter, while the 4th had more lemon notes.
